How to collaborate and improve our JED #JAB16 Barcelona [Updated]

JED is our biggest community site to publish extensions and a critical part of Joomla! experience. The development process has recently been opened to everyone. YOU can take the extra step to collaborate and improve it. This session introduces how developers can participate and setup the development environment. Additionally, we are going to show "state of the art" technologies applied in JED massive operation.

We are glad to announce that we are presenting JED's development and collaboration process in the upcoming J and Beyond 2016, Barcelona.

In this effort, we plan to document and answer frequent questions about:

  • How JED works
  • Meet the team
  • Joomla Extensions Directory Contributor Agreement (JEDCA)
  • Access to Github repository
  • Access to JED Project Management System
  • Configure JED Dev site - Fun in JED: bug smashing and feature development
  • How to solve a bug or add a new feature
  • Advanced concepts: the rating system

This is going to be a great opportunity to know how JED works and take a deep dive into the system internals. Additionally, a perfect time to help us to improve our extensions directory.

See you soon, JAB Barcelona!
