d2 Content Pro is a component for Joomla! to make it more easy to manage, add and edit your Joomla articles in the backend. It works well alongside Joomla's core Article Manager (com_content), with your existing articles, and with the WYSIWYG editor of your choice (TinyMCE, JCE, etc). You will get an optimized editing form for your content - just the fields you need! Furthermore in the overview of articles you can easily see which articles have an intro image that is used on category blog pages.

With the Pro version of d2 Content you can create your own d2 Content editor profiles that you can assign to user groups. We have a Free version available but it is limited to one fixed profile.

Our experience

We have created websites for many years for our clients. Honestly, we can't remember how often we had to explain to them which fields to edit and which fields to not touch. It never worked out well and they kept calling us for support again, asking:
- why is something on the website is not showing up?
- why does the sorting not work as expected?
- or why are they not performing well on the Google search results.

For example they often missed the "meta description" on the "Published" tab, which is essential for how Google displays text from your website in the search results. Or they changed the wrong date field and something like sorting did not work as expected.

d2 Content is easy - it solving these problems:

d2 Content makes it easier to create and manage your articles.
It does not replace "Content > Articles". It just uses the same content with an optimized form.
You can use d2 Content and Joomla's Article Manager alongside each other!

Great extension to make editing easier for customers

Functionality
Great, the needed fields can be shown on one tab. So the customer sees on one page all of the fields to enter and nothing more.
Ease of use
The extension itself is easy to use. The installation and settings to only show this extension and hide the default editor is trickier
Support
Great support! We had trouble with something in the documentation so we asked for support. They were very helpful.
Documentation
The documentation could be slightly better. We shared our feedback with them and they would update the documentation.
Value for money
Yes, the price is good and the extension is worth the money. I can recommend the d2 Content Pro version.
I used this to: to make the backend much easier for my customers. I develop websites and my customers need a simpeler backend. Less is more

Does exactly what the description says! It's incredibly useful to streamline the article editing process for editors.
Ease of use
Very straightforward and self explanatory: create a profile, assign fields and you are ready to go.

Absolute no brainer, great value for money. 49€ for as many sites as you like.
I used this to: Various client sites with heavy usage of custom fields, used together with custom admin menus for an even more streamlined editing process.

Functionality
Phenomenal; it makes it so easy for my clients to manage their sites with minimal support from my end.
Ease of use
Very easy and intuitive to set up; the different editing profiles make sense and are easy to assign to different user groups.
Support
Sigrid and Peter were very helpful and prompt when I had a bug and question...even though I accidentally submitted the wrong screenshots!

Value for money
d2content is worth every penny and then some! It saves me so much time when getting sites ready for my clients.

Functionality
Intuitief and easy to setup a profile for a customer. They only see what they need to see. No questions anymore.
Ease of use
Very easy to use for the configurator. Very easy to use for the user.
Support
Good support. Quick resonse. And the extensions gets updates when needed. Owners are open for suggestions.
Documentation
Good and the documentation says is it all. When you read the documentation its all easy to setup.
Value for money
Very Good value for money. It's worth every euro as the customer gets a better product.
I used this to: almost all my sites as I dont want to bother my customers with a too difficult dashboard. Or a dashboard that raises questions.

Funktioniert sehr einfach und macht die Bedienung für Anwender sehr einfach und übersichtlich.
Ease of use
Die Anwendung ist sehr übersichtlich und selbsterklärend so die Dokumentation kaum genutzt werden muss.
Support
Der Support ist sehr schnell und kompetent und persönlich. Man spürt das Herzblut dahinter.
Documentation
Übersichtliche Dokumentation. Welche jedoch durch die Einfachheit kaum nötig ist.
Value for money
Sehr gute preisleistung. Es gibt auch eine kostenlose Version welche die grundbedüfnisse abdeckt.

Functionality
It makes the editing of articles much easier, because you can define which fields are visible and users only see what they need
Ease of use
It works out of the box, but you can create user profiles, which needs a bit thinking beforehand. But the result is worth it!

Absolutely, because you save a lot of time with not having to explain options that users don't need anyway.
I used this to: Ever wondered how to explain unexperienced users the sheer endless options the user sees while editing an article? This can be a bit overwhelming and many options are not needed so this makes the editing for my user much easier!

Functionality
I often hear that the article manager has too many complex settings. Finally, this extension solves the problem. A perfect way to declutter!
Ease of use
The extension is simple to use. However, it seems to work alongside the default editor, which needs to be hidden. That was trickier to do.
Support
Great support! I didn't have any real issues with the extension, but I needed an extra feature. Very friendly and helpful people.
Documentation
The documentation could be more detailed, but I didn't really need anything more. The logic is quite simple and fast to learn.
Value for money
The price is good, the extension is definitely worth the money. I gladly pay for good quality software.
I used this to: To make the backend much simpler for the customers. I develop websites and people prefer a simple UI. This tool helps immensely.

Functionality
d2content simplifies the use of the Joomla backend by allowing you to disable a variety of options when creating posts.
Ease of use
Very easy to install and set up. Setting up profiles and adjusting the possible options is self-explanatory.
Support
The support responds quickly to questions and problems. They are also very open to suggestions.
Documentation
The documentation is short and to the point. I personally did not need it because of the simple handling.
Value for money
The money is well invested because customers are happy with it and you don't have to develop complicated overrides yourself.
I used this to: I use this to reduce the Joomla backend to the bare minimum. This makes it much easier for customers to use Joomla and they are very pleased with the user-friendliness.
