With the plugin installed and activated, your Joomla site will automatically have the necessary tags in place in your HTML code on all pages. There is no need to manually set tags on a per-page basis. The plugin works with all Joomla components.

Installation Instructions

• Test your website: Enter your website URL in the Facebook debugger. If warnings are detected that is okay, but all errors must be corrected before installing the plugin.

• Install the plugin in your administrator (Extensions->Manage->Upload Package File).

• Edit the plugin settings (Extensions->Plugins-> BCS Open Graph Tags) and enable the plugin.

Once the plugin is enabled, test your website or page URL at:

• Facebook debugger
• Twitter card validator

• Setting for the default image to be used when no image was found in your page or component.

• Select if default image should be added for home page

• The plugin checks to see if the image meets minimum Facebook requirements

• A debug mode to show Open Graph tags that are added by the plugin.

Special Notes

This plugin does not add a Facebook Like button and it does not display any social share buttons.
