iCagenda Pro Unlimited

Functionality
iCagenda has so many features, it's actually unlikely I'd use them all. They've thought of everything, but they still add to it!
100
Ease of use
Being such a full component, I was stunned to discover how intuitive it was. I've barely had to look at the documentation.
100
Support
I had one tiny problem after an update, and Cyril Rezé responded in record time with exactly the right solution. Other developers, take note

Documentation
The docs - to the limited degree I've had to use them - are perfect, and as the component grows, the docs follow... not always the case

Value for money
I used this to: I've used iCagenda for galleries and club events (so far) and it's so feature rich and adaptable, I can't think of any events it wouldn't be ideal for. I've used other events components, but iCagenda is streets ahead of them all. Download, try, then subscribe. You won't regret it
Owner's reply: Thank you Martin for your review!

To be honnest, i have still a lot of documentation to write, but i try to explain new options directly inside extension ;-)
In all cases, never hesitate to ask for any question !

Outstanding Extension

Posted on 20 March 2014
I LOVE this extension. Actually, I wish it or something like it could be part of the core.

Contrary to the previous reviewer, I've found that it works fine on all flavours of Joomla3. It has a vast array of options and is entirely adaptable, so I'll be using it on a variety of sites.

Despite having some personal issues just now, Dan went out of his way to be helpful with me. I could name one extension builder who (despite charging for his work) isn't NEARLY so helpful. AiDaNews2 is fabulous, the support is more than friendly and I look forward to instructions when they become available, and to AiDaNews3 when Dan has the time.

Download and use.

Brilliant extension, Outstanding team

I've built around 10 Joomla sites and have worked with HTML and CSS (not js or php in any depth though) for about 10 years, and I've just been asked to build a couple of music/audio sites in Joomla.

It's remarkable to me how few decent html5 audio extensions there are available. I've tried a few audio players, but with Flash appearing to be in its twilight years (as far as mobiles etc are concerned) none of them really did the job I wanted on all devices.

Enter the SJ HTML5 Audio Player. See, not only is this a great player, beautifully styled as default (and style-able), it's also simple to implement and use. However, if you're an awkward beggar like me, the superjoom team will help. Did I say 'help'? Waaaay above and beyond the call of duty. The team worked for the better part of a day trying to accommodate a request I made, respectfully and with no complaint throughout.

From what I gather, whatever limitations the player might have right now will be addressed in future upgrades, so they're clearly not a static bunch of developers either. The instructions are fairly non-existent, but then again, you don't need much instruction to use it from scratch.

I'm very wary of putting even a small amount of money down for paid extensions. The SJ HTML5 Audio Player was worth many times more than I paid for it and I only wish I could give it and them 10 stars.

Superb after-sales service for a product that's pretty near perfect to begin with.

1st class extension AND support

I'm a Joomla! noob and a fairly experienced web designer (not developer though)

Joomla! made me a little nervous and building a commercial site for a hotel as my first project was a wee bit daunting to say the least.

My main problem was letting hotel staff add new articles to their site, and UAM seemed to be the ideal extension, but I hit a brick wall with showing titles. Despite this being more of a Joomla!noob problem, rather than a UAM issue, Rob went through it and with his help the problem was quickly whipped into submission.

Rarely seen support like that for paid-for services, never mind something completely free.

I'm installing UAM first on every future project.
