Disappointed

Functionality
Buried in the documentation was that this may only be used in articles. Not quite as useful as implied.
100
Ease of use
Fine if you want it for the above purpose I guess.
73
Support
No refund policy, but I hoped for better. Also, the developer originally did not address my issue. Just proved the ext worked for him.
80
Documentation
Would have been nice if the article part came up sooner. Otherwise OK.

Value for money
Kind of pricy for such limited functionality. I ended up going with Aixeena Modals
I used this to: I deleted it. Not useful for me. $20 out the window!

Not a good purchase

Functionality
Re-skins Simply-Partner job board to your template.
14
Ease of use
Outdated instructions. No ability to tweak formats without going into .css (and the code is not user-friendly either).
25
Support
One friendly contact, but clearly not interested in fixing extension issues.
34
Documentation
Outdated.

Value for money
Would have been worth it if it saved me any time, but it wasted my time instead. This is yet another orphan extension.
I used this to: Starting a job board.

Functionality
Makes a big difference when used on my most complicated pages. Used it sparingly and it made my site look snazzy.

Ease of use
Couldn't be easier
100
Support
I had a couple of questions because I'm a rank amateur and git a friendly helpful response back.
100
Documentation
Tooltips and webpages. Nice.
100
Value for money
Very good.
I used this to: When a page just takes forever to load and I can't bear to remove anything.

Great solution for complex pages

Ease of use
Very simple
100
Support
I had a couple of questions and the developer immediately responded. I was impressed he asked for feedback on the ext too.
100
Documentation
Clear.
100
Value for money
Well worth it for impact.
I used this to: Selectively cloaking complex pages as they load. I think it would be overpowering if used on every page, but a little bit of this goes a long way.

Functionality
Well thought out extension that lets you easily manage access. Will make my life a lot easier in the future.

Ease of use
Intuitive
100
Support
Sander was quick to respond and very helpful. Clearly one of the good guys.
100
Documentation
The FAQ anticipated a problem I ran into at first and helped me resolve it on my own.
100
Value for money
Off the charts as far as I am concerned.
I used this to: Developing a site where the ACL is not quite clear yet. This allows me to reconfigure at a whim.

Very appealing map component!

Functionality
This is the way users want to see maps; view by location, by filter, or just browse. Very visual. Integrates very well with JEvents.
100
Ease of use
Very easy. Install it, sit back, and just wait for the applause.
100
Support
If only my kids were as attentive as this company. Support is off the scale.
100
Documentation
I've used two other mapping components and each uses different terms. I found this one to be easier than the others.
100
Value for money
Off the charts for the impact on my site
I used this to: JEvents, but look forward to the CB 2.0 plugin coming soon. That'll rock my world.

Huge impact on site performance, even better support

If there was a sixth star available, I'd give it. My experience was very similar to reviewers before me: for a very low upgrade cost, I received courteous and expert response from the developer and my site's speed has improved dramatically. A billion thanks.

Very disappointed

This is a review of the Power Pack, which includes Ekonomys Portfolio and a host of other add-ons. I am new to site development but I have spent twenty years in financial services.

In a nutshell, this did not provide me the functionality or user-friendliness one would expect for such an expensive offering. It was under-documented and just seems as if it was not tested enough prior to release.

For example, the portfolio frequently dropped the first symbol's data, so the portfolio information was incomplete and the portfolio value was wrong. Symbols need to be entered in uppercase into a category (who knew??).

The tickers are also problematical. The tickers frequently fail to load the first time the page is opened. I also could not make three tickers work simultaneously.

When I bought this, I was not expecting to get a Bloomberg terminal. But I do expect it to work. The developer refused to refund money and requested that I continue to work with him on resolving the many bugs. I was willing to do that to a certain point, but that loses its appeal pretty quickly after one had paid for what should be a functional extension.

The developer seems like a decent person, so I hope many of the issues will be resolved and the extension does what it is expected to do.
