I purchased MijoAnalytics for use in a project running Joomla + Mijoshop. I was attracted to the ecommerce tracking features, clear, well-deigned interface (very Google-like), easy Joomla integration and the 20+ reports on offer.
Installation was very easy and things were up and running in a few minutes. However, it soon became apparent that some of the ecommerce features were not as comprehensive as I had hoped. For example, it is not possible to track abandoned carts. Also, although the reports are pretty comprehensive and will suit the majority of needs, they cannot be exported into formats such as a CSV files. Nor is it possible to schedule reports to be sent out via email. Both of these features are available in Piwik, for which there is an OpenCart module available that will provide the aforementioned lacking ecommerce feature
Of course I should have checked the published feature list more carefully, as MijoSoft does not claim to have these features - mea culpa. The lesson is to check carefully what is NOT included as well as what is. Perhaps the developers could consider having a live demo available for evaluation, rather than just screen shots. That might have felped me to avoid my mistake. To their credit and despite my faux pas, MijoSoft honoured their 30 day refund guarantee.
The extension is, in my view, best suited to a site being used purely as a CMS by users who are happy to regularly log into their Joomla Admin to review reports. If the site is for a less savvy client who likes everything delivered on a plate without having to get their hands dirty, then a solution that will send out customised email reports on a weekly or monthly basis is probably a better bet.
Should the developers ever include the desired features I've mentioned they would have an out and out 5 star winner. As things stand it's slightly lacking as a commercial extension when there are free and more featured alternatives such as Piwik available.
