Value for money
I used this to: Every website i build and have been for roughly 10 years. I have tried other editors when working on 3rd party Joomla websites but I always uninstall them and use this. It is the best by far.

Not very good, really annoying to use

If a package or campaign runs out you can't just change the expiry date to turn the ads back on and have to recreate everything.

I find it really difficult to get it do anything. Important to note, Adblockers on browsers block all the ads from this and the Admin area!!

Rubbish, if they don't know the answer they just ignore you.

Really slow long winded video documentation which takes forever to watch each video rather than just quickly searching through a document.

Value for money
Very expensive. I have used free extensions which work better than this.
I used this to: A customer website. My boss told me to use this. I knew I should have just custom built something.

We have made some great improvements to the issues you had and you can extend campaigns as you wish now. We have also changed to a trackable ticket system for support so nothing slips through the cracks. :) Agreed we dropped the ball a little with support but thanks to reviews like this we took it all on board and made some big changes.

Not sure why there are all the bad reviews. This plugin worked well for me. I normally wouldn't have tried it due to all the bad reviews but as it is really the only one out there i thought i would take a chance on it. The documentation could have been better but it does work. I think it is important to mention it can even scan the sub folders beneath the main folder you specify in the config. This again was not in the documentation so i had to raise a ticket to ask. The ticket was replied to promptly by the developer. All in all a good plugin.

I don't write many reviews but this component and the developers deserve one.



In short don't waste your time looking for another ecommerce solution or keep bashing away with Virtuemart trying to get it to work.



Please trust me and buy this component and you wont look back.



I think special congratulations need to go to the developers of Mijoshop. They have given us all the benfits of Opencart with all the benfits of Joomla in one package. There support is some of the best i have experienced in all the years i have been working with Joomla. They have loads of free plugins for Mijoshop available to subscribers on their website already. Just download them and 'one click install' them.



I had one templating issue mainly due to being new to opencart and not fully understanding it's structure. I sent them a ticket and they logged in and fixed it for FREE! and customised it for me so it was the way i wanted it. Now i see what they have done and how it works it will be easy to further customise it in future if i need to but having said that i'm not sure i ever will. It does everything you need. They did over and above what i would expect developers to do for free. Some of the best customer service i have experienced. Well done Mijosoft.



As an experienced Virtuemart user for many years now, having built over 50 ecommerce websites with it, I have finally had enough. The new version VM2.0 has so many faults and it is nearly impossible to achieve simple things such as a single trade user price per product. In VM you can only do a global discount percentage per group, without doing some impossible calculations using a plugin or heavily customising it.



Opencart has most of the features you need built in and what's more there are over 6000 extensions already made for it. No more purchasing a Sage Pay or World Pay plugin each time you need one, it is built in!! If you want to do something a little out of the ordinary you can buy a plugin on the opencart site. Opencart is very easy to use, well written and very well thought out.



I needed to supply the customer a fairly complex shipping calulation system based on a variety of variables, £18 off the opencart site, done and works like a dream, and an extremely complex volume discount system, with varying amounts, per product, per discount group. No problem with opencart, you just create you groups and then type the prices and quantities in. Done. Trust me I wish i had tried it years ago. It is really easy to style with CSS, looks great 'out the box' and there are loads of templates available for it.



I have used some awesome plugins for Virtuemart over the years such as import/export tools, exporting to ebay and google base and i was worried Mijoshop wouldn't be able to do this but the import/export tool is free and works great and polishedgeek are developing the ebay export tool as we speak.

This extension is very good but the support is the best i have experienced to date. I build a lot of Joomla sites and deal with a lot of developers when i need support. I had a small issue with the drop down menu going behind the images. I knew it was a z-index issue but i just couldn't it figure out so i contacted the 2J team and I expected the usual "read more about z-index here...link" advise but they simply asked for the site details and fixed it for me! If only more developers were as willing to help. Well done 2J Team.

As you can see by all the other reviews this product is well worth downloading. The product itself is very good and Hordur the developer is excellent. He responds very quickly to all questions and provides the best support i have experienced to date. Well done IceJoomla.

Great product and Markus is very helpful.

I had a problem trying to find the token in paypal. It took ages to get paypal to tell me where it was so for anyone else who needs to know please follow these instructions.

you have to enable Payment Data Transfer, and to do so follow these steps:



Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.

Click "Profile" at the top of the page.

Click the "Website Payment Preferences" link in the Selling Preferences column.

Click the Payment Data Transfer "On" radio button.

Click "Save."

It might say in order to use Payment Data Transfer, you must turn on Auto Return.

If so turn that on.

A confirmation message will appear at the top of the page indicating that you have successfully enabled Payment Data Transfer.

Your identity token will appear within that message, as well as below the PDT On/Off radio buttons.

As part of the Payment Data Transfer process you will need to pass PayPal the identity token, along with the transaction token, in order to display the transaction details to your customers. For more information on Payment Data Transfer, please refer to the Order Management Integration Guide by following these steps:



Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.

Click the "Merchant Services" tab.

Click "View all Features" under the PayPal Website Payments Standard section.

Click '"Backend Integration."

Click "Learn more" in the Payment Data Transfer section.

Click "Manual."

Click "Order Management Integration Guide."

To view this guide, Adobe Acrobat Reader software is required. We recommend using the latest version available for your operating system. To download or update Adobe Acrobat Reader, click 'Adobe Acrobat'.



Once Payment Data Transfer has been turned on, Payment Data Transfer notification will occur when a user has completed their payment. If PayPal Account Optional is turned on then a new user will need to choose to continue to your website in order to trigger Payment Data Transfer notification.



If you also need notification of transaction reversals (such as chargebacks), refunds, and subscription events, please also enable Instant Payment Notification (IPN)
