With Joomla 2.5, a number of updating extensions have been built, including Watchful.li and Admincredible which have gotten lot of press. SP Staging is far superior to all others. SP Staging allows you to install and update any, and I repeat, any extension, remotely on an unlimited number of sites. All other extensions only allow you to update extensions that utilize the Joomla update function. SP Staging also allows you to update extensions with the Joomla update function.
This extension is a huge time saver for those managing many sites with many extensions. The developer is very responsive to bug reports and feature suggestions. The one-time purchase price for an unlimited number of sites is also great.

It took me a little while to get my head around this because I needed to make a few changes to my server's configuration (by the way, thanks for the excellent support!).
Now I have all of my staging server sites hooked up to one control panel and can update the extensions all at once. Truly awesome.

I've been using Joomla since 2006 and at work I'm the Administrator of over 70 portals!
SP Staging is a FANTASTIC tool! I can check all my sites for updates with just one click! And if there is a new version of Joomla! or an extension, then I can update every portal using this extension! Wow! Really WOW!
This saves me so much work! I don't have to login to each portal and update it! I can do it from SP Staging!
And when I want to install a new extension on every portal ( website), I just upload the extension to SP Staging and deploy it to every website! Dead easy!
I can't understand why so few people are giving this extension feedback.
The guys at Cyend.com also created the SP Upgrade (Joomla migration tool) and that's how I discovered SP Staging.

We have been waiting for a system like this for 2.5 for a while now. Being able to test and deploy extensions and upgrades is invaluable for Joomla development and hosting companies like us.
Now, if we could only get this product to instruct Joomla 2.5 to self upgrade, we would have no reason to remotely login and upgrade Joomla core installs manually...
