This module displays a countdown to a specific date.
Once the date is reached, a countup can be displayed. The countup shows the elapsed time after the event.
You can enter as many events as you need. Once one event is expired, the next event is loaded automatically.
The module offers several settings, such as: link to further information of the event before and after the event date, own text (HTML-Tags) etc.
The counter can be displayed statically or dynamically.

I'm using this modul to have a countdown to the next competition on our nine pin bowling and it works fine. So every user can see when the next competition starts. It is easy to configure works without any problems for years right now.

CDUB - CountDown-Up Big timer is an effective Joomla module I easily and quickly deployed to my website to give visitors an event countdown timer. The display can either be user text, an image sourced by tag, or both. 4 date formats as well as time offset can be configured. Links can be associated with the timer image. All together, a very effective piece of code that does what is expected, simply, and does so with style. Highly recommended. Kudos to this GPL provider.

This is a very nice module and suits my needs better than other countdown modules primarily because I can insert a picture into it. Simple to install and use. Even as a novice, I was able to get it to perform with little effort.
It would be helpful to have better support in English since it's become more of a global standard (especially for newbies like me). Specific instructions on how to insert a picture would be helpful (make sure to mention that they must resize pictures in proportion to the module before they insert it also).
It would be nice if there were buttons to change text color & font style.

Having looked at so many different scripts and trying countless Joomla Modules I must say that this module is by far the most versatile one and it is VERY easy to sent up and looks really smart.
Full marks for the Module, I just wish others can come up with designs that fit the needs of the user as good as this
