Fast and elegant, no additional database queries are executed and no additional files are included except account-related actions.
I must say.. I apologize to the developer(s) of p8pbb for my late response and review. It is long overdue and they have certainly been more prompt than myself.
1) The product that has been provided by these folks is extremely powerful, flexible, efficient and user friendly.
1a) There is no stone left unturned in this product.. seamless integration with a plethora of social platforms is a winning point in this service. Enough said.. not to mention... most documentation for any help is included and it is a simple and straight forward process.
2) What more does one want from such a great extension? Well, great service.. in fact.. even better service!
2a) I had a couple of problems that arose and these issues through the support system were quickly met and resolved. Response time was timely and friendly.
In the long run.. thanks guys! I appreciate your product and your friendly service. I would most certainly recommend this product to other developers and hobbyist alike. It's the ability to work for skill levels of varying ranks makes this an award winning purchase and worth every red cent. I am considering jumping into other features produced by these guys.. and will not hesitate when the time comes.

I'm so impressed by this extension that I created an account here just to give some credit to extension's authors... That bridge integrates phpbb3 so smoothly into Joomla and JomSocial that you may forget that your board is actually a different application. I have some experience with another bridges but this one gives me everything I need, including powerfull SEO tools, integration with JomSocial messaging system, custom fields synchronisation and lot more. Installation is very smooth (if you follow developer's instructions) and they provide awsome support. I would preffer to have their commercial version open source (I'm a PHP developer and I like to make some changes here and there) but that's not a big issue - they already provide us a lot of useful options and usually they're happy to implement some custom requirements and improvements

Bridging joomla and phpbb is not the easiest job and there are lot solutions, but this one works best and has lot´s of useful features.
Using this and other products of the company for more than a year now and I am more than satisfied.
The support is as professional as one can imagine. The developer saved my... more than once...no matter if it was a dumbo mistake on my end or some probs with the server/3rd party components.
I will continue using this product and add/buy others from him because this guy knows what he is doing and is the money more than worth. As a matter of fact I would even pay more if he asks for :-)
A clear recommendation for everyone who uses Joomla and phpbb-forum.

I am building a new online forum for photographers and photography buffs, and was looking for a solid way to SEO my phpBB forum. After looking at a lot of different possibilities, I found the p8pBB Bridge, that not only offered med full SEO of the forum, but also offered integration with Joomla as a front-end.
I can ONLY say that this bridge has more than lived up to each and every expectation of mine. It is an EXCELLENT product, beautifully integrating phpBB and Joomla, it ALSO allows me a more robust registration process for new users, and allows me to integrate the phpBB options in the overall Joomla menu-structure. A registered user will see the phpBB "User CPL" in the Joomla menu, but not the "Administrative CPL", which will only be seen by administrators. This way I can not only wrap the forum in Joomla, I can modify the phpBB template to save some screen real-estate! AWESOME!
Blogomunity has been absolutely amazing in assisting when I had a minor issue installing (which was really only a stupidity on my part). They went above and beyond to assist me in my efforts, and I can honestly say, that I - over the many years of building Joomla sites, and adding various commercial extensions - have NEVER had a more exemplary support!
I can only give Blogomunity and their p8pBB Bridge my warmest recomendation! If you wan't to integrate phpBB with Joomla, THIS is the way to go!

This is a dream - I've been wanting to integrate a standalone phpbb forum into my Joomla site for years and finally, with this extension, I've managed it.
Its obviously been well written, comprehensive functionality, so I don't grudge paying the money - I believe it is definitely worth it.
I had one small problem due to the number of modifications on my site which the owner of p8pbb kindly solved for me in record time.
If you're looking for phpbb integration with Joomla, there is no point in looking elsewhere. I should add I use rocketthemes and its fitting in beautifully with them as well.

p8pBB3 Bridge is the best bridge out there. As one other said, I have tried them all. jfusion, phpbb bridge, and more. I have tried both free and paid bridges- this one is simply the best out there.
Blogomunity surpassed all expectations on both support and product. And the support and development keeps getting better.
Licensed owner for almost a year, and no major problems at all. In fact most of my support tickets have been about custom templates that I have designed and NOT a problem with the bridge itself. (or in my last case, forgot to update the version- which he did for me!)
Included in the pro version (and MORE than worth the cost) are:
1) Several modules that are integrated between joomla and phpbb3.
2) Jomsocial and CB full support and integrations.
3) 2 default phpbb3 templates customized and updated. (jProsilver and jSubsilver)
4) NO core hacks on either product at all what so ever anywhere.

I purchased the commercial version of this in order to bridge an existing phpBB forum with Jomsocial/Joomla. The features sounded great and exactly what I needed, but installation was loaded with bugs and errors, and a number of features don't work correctly. The support has been absolutely terrible to say the least, with tickets not fully read and the developer placing blame on me rather than the errors I reported. I'm a PHP developer myself so fortunately I was able to dig through the code to fix some of the problems myself, but I wouldn't recommend this, or any, software from this company at all.

The issues described here were not related to our products, all features worked as described, no bugs were found.
The only reason of this incident is an isolated issue of misunderstanding with support.

My biggest issue was consistency with things like "dual login" and "utf-tools" yada, yada, yada. There was always something.

Installed and working in one hour with no errors
even using sh404sef!
even converted my Kunena forum without a hiccup
I'm done, don't have to play on the computer anymore tonight
....hading out to get the carne asada plate and a margarita.
