To avoid spam entries Easybook Reloaded uses a light version of the famous plugin EasyCalcCheck Plus which is available as a separate download (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-a-security/captcha/11964).
The guestbook component is based on the original component provided by Easy-Joomla. This version has been reworked and optimized. All known security flaws had been closed and some more measures had been taken, to secure it.

One thing I'm wondering is any way we can limit the words down in Guestbook entry instead of unlimited.

We changed then, on Joomla! 1.5, over to Easybook Reloaded, on one of the first versions. Spam significantly has been reduced, although not to zero, but to one or two a day. We did all the updates and started to use ECC+ as well, which drove us down to almost zero!
As Easybook Reloaded gives the possibility to delete an entry by just klicking on the provided link in the e-mail message, we were happy to have this extension!
Now, some weeks ago, we changed over to Joomla! 2.5 and installed the latest EBR build. Although we are using the same domain we did not receive one spam mail!
We are very happy with this solution and are sure, that it really serves the Joomla! community. As a sign of gratitude we bought a membership with Kubik-Rubik.

You can use the free support forum section. Uhtred (a friend of mine) answers almost every question there, so it's not true what you've said. You just have to register and activate the free support subscription. That's all!
If you use an older version of the component, then you should install the plugin EasyCalcCheck Plus which stops every spam.
With the latest release of the component (2.5-3) you won't get any spam, even without ECC+. I use the component on the demo site and had not one spam entry from bots!

If you still have some problems with the built-in protection system, then you should install the plugin ECC+.
Also a few more templates or the possibility to edit template and labels admin site rather than messing with source files.
Also your website doesnt seem to be translated to english for this extension.
But these are all minor things.

This extension is overal good, but on the contrary of what is said on the description, it doesn't work with multilingula site like joomfish : the Guestbook page in other languages doens't appear and we lose customers...
