Current version is 2.1 with many great improvements . Let us describe how the component works :
1. Customers go to your site and browse for documents using com_docman . If the documents have been set up for selling in Docman seller component , they will see a button called "Buy Now" . Customers can click on the button to go to the order page . (Please note that customers can go directly to the Docman seller component to see list of available documents for selling . Then they can choose a document to view detail information and purchase it ).
2. Customer is directed to order page . They fill in all necessary data and then go to payment process with the selected payment gateway .
3. Once payment have been made, the customer and administrators will be sent an email inform them about new order with detail information . Customer then can log-in to your site, click on "Your orders" link to view list of orders and download the purchased document from there .
The feature of the components inculuding :
I. Front-end functions :
1. Document lists : Show list of documents have been setting up for sellling .
2. Document detail : Show detail information of the document .
3. Order form : Show order form to collect customer data .
4. Payment gateway integration : The extension was designed to support multi payment gateways. Currently, paypal, echeck, authorize.net and pay later are 4 payment gateways use with the extension . We will integrate more payment gateways in the near future
5. Email notification : When an order is made, notification emails will be sent to customer and administrators to inform them about the new order .
6. Orders history : Users can log-in to the site and see the list of orders they made. From there, they can download the purchased documents
7. Docman integration :
1. Show "Buy now" button in the documents have been setting up for selling . When users browse documents using com_docman, they can click on this button to purchase the document .
2. When the user makes an order, if the document is assign access permission to docman group, the user will be assigned to this docman group and they can download the document from docman repository . (don't have to use "Orders history" to download purchased document) .
8. Community buider integration :
1. CB plug-in to display orders history.
2. Auto fill-in customer data in order form using data stored in community builder .
9. Mambot : Allow adding "Click here to buy this item" link into any joomla content item .

Great component! Does what it says without much hassle. Documentation could be better though... More than worth the money!

I had another component that caused a conflict with document seller. I emailed support and they fixed the problem for me the same day. I was also using a 3rd party docman theme. They took the time to actually go in and customize my theme for me so that document seller worked flawlessly with the 3rd party theme and looked amazing. I was extremely impressed with their support and I will be buying more components from this developer without question. Great Components !! Great Support !!

I am so happy with this extension. Its reasonably priced ($20) and does everything it says it will do. I was working with another extension and it was a nightmare. There was no customer service and the owner was very rude and unprofessional. Im so glad I choose this extension. I was up and running within an hour. Thanks for a great product and great customer services!

I had some problems installing it, but the service of the Ossultion team is very good and fast. Just sending to them an email was enough.

I was hesitant to buy this component, but after reading the reviews, decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did because it works great -- takes a little bit to configure, but once it's set everything works great! Nice work and thanks for the great component!

The developer was kind enough to come up with customized solutions to fix the all problems that occurred. The software itself is very well designed, every detail is configurable, but what I like most is: I could easily apply a member discount which is great for customer loyalty issues. The price, set at 20$, does make you feel comfortable that you should step up and install it to your website immediately.
This is a very nice and easy to use product and it does work well with very little effort so 100 stars to the developer for that. There is only one small problem that popped up for me and that was that I could only sell one downloadable product at a time. I did buy the product which was reasonably priced but was not able to use it because of the one product at a time problem. It's ok though, I support this product being grown as much as possible because it is fantastic for the one or two product kind of business. I may be incorrect but I did not see anyway to configure a cart with it. It takes the user directly to paypal! If you are selling documents or other single downloads this is a superb product and works seamlessly with docman.

Thank you very much for a nice review and your suggestion . The cart feature were planed but we didn't have time to implement it before because we were busy for our project . Now , we are working hard on it and the next version will be released on next week .

The instructions are easy enough to follow to get the component up and running. Provides a separate list of for sale downloads, plus list those in DOCMAN with a buy now price.
The support is excellent and responsive and the price is right.
The thing even tracks your orders which you can then down load to CSV.
You can even upload stuff in CSV.
Does more than what it says :)

Docman Seller from Ossolutions is absolutely worth every penny. In fact we believe that they deserve a bubble up on everything. We would have been giving their product 10 out of 5 if we could. Not to mention the price! It's worth twice what they are charging.
We are using their system to sell e-books in three different languages and so far we haven't got a single complaint. They deliver exactly what they promise + including a fantastic service!
It's so nice to download a Joomla product that actually works 100%...

My Ratings and title are based upon my personal experience with these guys. I paid 2 days back. Go the component instantly.
I tried to install it, it installed without a glitch.
As soon as I go to configuration for this component, I observed it is not saving my modification. I uninstalled and again installed at least 3-4 times, still nothing happened.
Then I tried to contact owner on their forum, but I didn't found any other customer having same issue. So I requested him to take a look.
No response after 12 hours, I checked forum the come to know that he was over forum but didn't take a look on the latest topics, which was a serious bug. I still requested him to take a look.
He said the problem will be resolved in 24 hours.
Its now 24 hours completed and I found he never looked into my site. ( I created a new user, and his status his never logged in).
So my warning to new user, take your pick, before purchasing the component ask his for commitment.
I did ask him at least 4-6 times, waited for significant time, then writing this review.

This morning, I tried to access to your site to check and fix the problem . However, When I tried to update the files to your server, I could not update the file because all files are in 644 permissions . I emailed you to ask you change permission for these files so that I can update the files . However, While I was waiting for your reply, you gave me this bad review :( .
You said I haven't access to your site . The first time I tried to access, your site is password protection and I cold not access to your site . Then I asked you to remove the protection and I finally can access to your site . Did you check the account before submitting this review yet ?
Since we always provide good support for our extensions, I asked you to remove this bad review immediately . At this time, I am still waiting for your reply so that I can update files to your server .

This is SO almost an excellent. It installs, sets up and runs very nicely. It took me very little time to get a PDF up for sale.
One thing though. The document URL is a predictable pattern. I think this means I can go to everybody's Docman seller site and leech free books.
I'll be happy to hear I'm wrong and turn this Good to an Excellent.

Love this component. There were a few technical problems - hopefully the developer has updated to address these few little bugs. Developer is very responsive and willing to help until you're happy.
I was able to set up 300+ files for download with payment thru Paypal in one day - and I'm no pro.
Great support, very nice component. A great value.

I am very happy with this component. I use it together with DocMan and works well since I can decide if I want to sell an item or give it for free (using only docman). There are some good customization options, it is easy to install and use. It makes your payments very professional and straightforward.
Support is very quick and excellent.
This is the first time I spend my time to write a review on a component and I am happy to begin with this one.

This extension is the best solution I'm aware of for selling DOCMan documents. The developers added one-click redirection and immediate download at my request, so you can take your customers directly to PayPal checkout when they click Buy Now. It works. When it has some documentation and improved help, it will be even better!

This product was easy to install and setup. Support is #1 priority for me when I use an extension (free or commercial) and I certainly put the team at JoomServices to the test with a pesky problem I had.
The support was FANTASTIC. Well above and beyond what I would expect for an extension that only cost $US20 to download (with upgrades for a year!).

Excellent component. Works perfectly. Futhermore you can edit all file in order to personnalize language, messages...
Support is very good and reactive.

Thanks for your nice review . We are waiting for docman to release the version which works with Joomla 1.5 native . Once Docman works with Joomla 1.5 native, Our extension will be ported to Joomla 1.5 native , too .

This is one of the best options for selling items via DocMan. Easy to install and configure.
There is some weirdness, however -- about 30% of the time, clients are not receiving the Download link in their email, so I have to manually send them the link. This is quite a pain. They've checked their Junk Mail folders, too, and it isn't there.
By main gripe, though, is the support provided by Ossolution. Other people's experiences might be different to mine, but I have requested support from Ossolution on two separate occasions, for two different reasons. BOTH times I had to wait weeks for any kind of response. Given that this is a commercial product, and given that it's an extension aimed at raising revenue for your site, this isn't up to scratch -- twice I lost quite a bit of income while I waited for any kind of reply. (The reply, when it did arrive, was helpful and did solve my problem... but it wasn't anything dramatically complicated and could've been attended to fairly quickly.)
On the other hand, I know others who've been very satisfied with Ossolution's support. But I thought it was worth mentioning my own experience.
