WISro Yahoo Futures 1.0 is a Joomla! AJAX module designed to display up to 3 tickers containing stock exchange information for commodity futures from Yahoo Finance, with various display options: vertical/horizontal, static or scroller - see Configuration tab for details and possible combinations.
Contains library for NYMEX traded commodities containing both symbol's description and termination of trading schedule.
Automatic symbol naming based on current date, configured time offset and termination of trading from the library (if data listed there for the commodity) - for example, in the ticker one may add CL (Light Sweet Crude Oil) and the module will display the information for the next traded month, if no other time offset specified, adding the month code, year and market termination (for August 22, 2009, the result will be CLU09.NYM and the data will be retreived for September 2009).
The following NYMEX traded commodity futures information is included in the WISro Futures library:
Energy :
* Light Sweet Crude Oil (CL)
* Brent Crude Oil (BZ)
* Heating Oil (HO)
* Natural Gas (NG)
* RBOB Gasoline (RB)
* Ethanol (QE)
* Gulf Coast Gasoline (LR)
* Gulf Coast ULSD (LU)
* New York Harbor ULSD (LH)
* Russian Export Blend Crude Oil (RE)
* PJM Electricity (JM)
* Singapore Fuel Oil 380 cst Swap (HZ)
* Propane (PN)
* Uranium (UX)

Metals - including COMEX:

* Gold (GC)
* Silver (SI)
* Copper (HG)
* Aluminium (AL)
* Hot-Rolled Coil Steel (HR)
* Platinum (PL)
* Palladium (PA)
* Asian Gold (QS)
* Asian Platinum (QR)
* Asian Palladium (QT)

To list any of the above symbols in the tickers, you have to add the corresponding code for the commodity (e.g. GC for Gold)

The ticker can use any other futures symbol listed on Yahoo Finance, using one the following rules:

1. SYMBOL* (e.g. PB*)- in this case the configured DefaultMarker parameter's value will be added at the end of the symbol (default value is set to NYM)
2. SYMBOL*.MARKET (e.g. AL*.CMX)
3. direct symbol insertion (e.g. AWU09.CBT) - search Yahoo Finance site for symbol's code

Report

I run an oil and gas news website, i tried all the joomla! options available to display NYMEX futures prices on my site(oil, natural gas, metals, an so on) none of them did exactly what i needed, i decided to contact the staff at wis.ro and after explaining to them what i was looking for, they developed the extension. Great support, great job, i recommend it, if you have an extra request i´m shure these guys will handle it.
