Pop Image Slider ModuleLanguage

Pop Image Slider v.2 module is updated with great improvements!
- Rewritten code.
- Responsive design.
- Multiple instances per page.
- Images can have different width.
- New lightbox version with many themes.
- Title and description per image.
- Styled tooltips.
- Better administration.
- More parameters.
- CSS3 features.
- Even better motion and effects.

Pop Image Slider provides an impressive and interactive way to view images. The images slide left and right according to the cursor movement and when cursor is over an image, the image is magnified. The images are also links to urls specified by you. These links may open using the lightbox effect or in parent or blank window. Also the links may refer to web pages or file types such as image, video, sound, flash.

Now there is no need to edit images in order to style them. Styles like border, shadow, rounded corners, gap between images can be achieved though the module parameters.

The height and the width of the images, in normal and zoomed state, are automatically calculated based only on two parameters: a) the height in normal state and b) the percentage of the magnification.

Pop Image Slider works with Mootools 1.2.4. So, you need to use Joomla version 1.5.19 or higher and to enable "System - Mootools Upgrade" in "Plugin Manager". There is no need to do that for Joomla 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3.0.

Excellent slider: simple and it does exactly what it is expected to do. The best support I had for some time now.

The component works good. Also the implementation has a clean, simple coding style. It was easy for me to rewrite the component to use images from the Phoca DB - only the SQL query and a fetch_assoc.
However, for a relatively expensive commercial extension, I expect at least a support forum as well as clear information about updates for purchased products.

It is the first time someone suggests to be included images from Phoca Gallery but it is a nice idea and I will try to add this feature in the next version.
There isn't a forum for help because I believe that answering the emails is better and fast enough.

Outstanding extension that works great and easy to use!
I had questions about the setup and got immediate reply and even remote support to have my specific ideas configured. Many thanks!

You know, i actually needed an extension for a concrete project, scrolling gallery with big photo popup ability, and it HAD to have possibility for easy addon of more photos. Like slider/gallery.
Pop image photo is that, and much more. Not only it got easy to add photo-gallery in it, in those popups U can play ... - anything, really. It's insane how much possibilities it got.
One more, very important thing: I had a problem - I mistyped path to my images, several times (what can I say - I am beginner, an not used to WRITING :{)). Anyway, I sent email (it was info@.... mail, so I didn't expect much to get a reply), and almost instantly I got my response and a solution! That is so rare nowadays, so I Had To Point That Out!
I wish all the best to the people that did this, and I will keep my eye on new stuff They'll be doing.
P.S. I actually could write all from above in one sentence: Pop Image Slider is A MUST.

I was blown away by the amount of options you have available to customize this module.
Looks stunning, movement and fades are super smooth.
Intuitive and easy to use.
All thats missing is a reflection option.

I'm developing a site in 1.6.4 and I needed an image slider which would show portrait images simply and cleanly and let the picture tell the story. That's what this extension does. It looked great in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera but not so good in IE 7 & 8. I emailed the developer about 5.30 in the evening at the end of the working day. Next morning, when I opened my emails, he'd sent a solution. Bravo! Great support. Thank you.

I love it. It does exactly what I want.
The only thing it would be absolutely perfect if on hover it could display title of the image.

Thank you!

The new version is supporting this feature in two ways.

Runs as described, directions are straightforward, support is the BEST. I had a few questions regarding the parameters, and they were far more than accommodating. You'll love it!

I purchased this module a few days ago and it works beautifully! I easily upgraded my site to the latest 1.5.20 with an upgrade component here on Joomla extensions.

Setting up the module is extremely easy and the outcome, well it's perfect for my site!

Support is great, that's the way its supposed to be. The developer emailed me to see how it was going with the module. What more can you ask for?

Thanks Thanos ;)

It looks cool and I wanted to like it... issues:

Only works with New Mootools Enabled (1.2)... fine they mentioned that... But also..

Does not work in IE7... you can see this on their demo. Wish I had checked it in that browser first before buying. Has issues with z-index, and hidden portions showing.

The Module Class Suffix param is not the Joomla Module Class Suffix... its just a class suffix to the slider within the module, so you are forced to have it in a module with default styling unless you alter the code.

If they fixed the IE7 issues and the module class suffix it would be a great tool but otherwise I cannot recommend it as of yet.

I'm hopeful for an update.
Owner's reply

The issues about IE7 and Module Class Suffix are both fixed.

Absolutely Brilliant extension, comes in very handy in a number of positions, can be used as an alternative to a rotating header if needed, very easy to configure and modify and most importantly for me great feedback from the developer.

one thing i would like to see is maybe being able to add a link to the images.
highly recommend this extension.
Owner's reply

Thanks for your kind words.
This new version supports links to the images.
