Great slide show, simple, and powerful. The best in my opinion!

After installing half a dozen other slideshow extensions, this proved to be the solution to all my problems. Is this what it feels like to pay for an extention? I wouldn't know. lol. I cannot speak to the quality of support for this extention, because there were no problems. Some other slideshow extentions I tried had major problems, when I tried to report the issues through the support tickets I was basically blown off by the developers. You'd think they would be grateful to have errors reported to them! Now I'm just ranting about a lot of wasted time. This is the one, folks!

When it comes to image sliders my needs are normally very simple and have therefore been using another option for most of my sites. I now needed one that was just as simple but also responsive. After trying a number of options I eventually came across this and problem solved.

You can either use it as I do, simply using images in a folder to be the slideshow and not having them linked to anything - purely for display purposes. You can also set up image categories and have link and descriptions etc. for each image.

Whatever suits you this suits me. Thanks guys.

The one big plus to this slider is that you can use gif or png slides with a transparent background. Not everyone needs that, but when you have a call for it like we did it's kind of hard to find. I had high hopes for this slider, but unfortunately we tried installing it on a few different sites with no luck. Perhaps it's the template we using, but no matter what we tried, it would SAY it installed correctly, but only the Module side installed properly. When you went over to the Component side, you could set up the Categories, but anytime you tried to access the Slides, well every time I post what happened, the post gets rejected so let's just say it wouldn't install correctly.

You can make a single show run from the Module alone, but I worried about what else might be wrong, and our site is too important to risk it. All the other sliders we loaded installed and worked as advertised. It was just a matter of choosing which one had the best attributes.

They don't respond to tickets on the weekend, so we had to move on. Had it installed correctly we may have stayed with this one over a paid version we finally settled on.

Hello, sorry to hear you were unable to run DJ-ImageSlider. This is not a known problem as you can see. Probably this is related to your setup as you mentioned. Please make sure you're using most recent version of Joomla and let us know.

I always used to find that most image sliders only worked on a select few templates and most they just did not sit right. This one however is just great. Crisp clean has a professional air about it. However there is one thing that I can't understand why it isn't included is the ability to provide for example a list of images (each url on own lines) and then another text box to input image links so 1 links to 1 2 and 2 and so on. I commonly need to directly link to products reviews etc and I would love to be able to use this but can't until this feature is implemented.

This is now a commonly used extension on my toolbox. It has helped my small webdesign business soo much. Easy to use. Makes any site look professional and support is patient and fantastic!

Having tested several image sliders we opted to use this slider because it has many options to configure according to a users different needs.
For instance, we wanted to show the description under the image rather than on it. It only took a few minuted to work out how to do this.
The fact that the Slider is free of course helps, but also it allows us to evaluate the commercial extensions of this supplier with a considerable degree of confidence.

I've been using this extension since 2 years ago. I switched to other modules, by at the end of the day I always come back to DJ. The easiest. And for free. Now also responsive. I can't ask more from a Joomla extension. The best of the dozen I've tried. Hands down.

Very good extension, simple to set up and simple to use. It would be perfect if in the lightbox window you could navigate between the images...

Wow! For a free extension to do what this does is nearly unheard off. I wanted a simple to use thumbnail slider that I could add a caption to and this just does it.
Enabling it needed a quite read of the very clear instructions and once read, it was a doddle to get the sliding thumbnails to appear where I wanted them.
It took me longer to work out how to add a description to the slideshow within my article than it did to install! (Edit the article, not the module).
The one thing I would have liked to find was that it was possible to add the description to the enlarged image, but other than that, this is a perfect Joomla 2.5 extension, thank you!

If it comes to free extensions this image slider is definitely a great deal. Installation - no problem. Setting up - Takes a few minutes to figure out but definitely no need for support there if you know a bit about Joomla! extensions. Functionality - Congratulations to the developer - the component is smart and SEF. Thanks.

Very satisfied!! Images are all resized automatically; great options for sliding animation; ability to make each image linkable to its own article (believe it or not this is very hard to find); and easy to install. Thank you!!! This is how modules & components should be made :)

This slider is phenomenal!
Easy . . . CHECK
Feature rich . . . CHECK

Fill a folder full of images in dimension that work best for your site then set this module to the same dimension and point it to the folder of images. Then it is just a matter of assigning position and pages. This slider is smooth and easy to use. I could not ask for more. THANKS!
