I did try a few differences module, plug-in of either slideshow and images rotator, this module is the best module I have ever seen. I love the fact that it's so simple to install, easy to understand and the slideshow is just magical display. I would recommence this module to anyone who is new comer for 2 reasons: it's simple with great effects, it's efficient and excellent support team.
This simply works exactly as it should. As a newcomer to Joomla I found it logical and intuitive, and a simple query about the provision of a random display of slides within a defined collection resulted in a very fast enhancement to the product. Highly recommended - with fast and helpful support.
I liked this slideshow from the beginning, but the artetics.com team made it even better for me. I missed the option to play the first frame after the last one, but the artetics.com team provided me with an update that had this function. Then i realized that i missed a pauze button. Again the artetics.com team provided an update that did. What a great support!
I have purchased several of these guy's modules and they are all excellent. They even have worked with me to get some of them to work together--for instance, I have the Art Frontpage Slideshow embedded in the Art Easy Accordion. Their modules are fast, their support is quick to respond, and they will even log into your joomla site to configure the settings for you if necessary. Your money will not be wasted if you purchase their stuff.
Over time I tried and used probably most of the Image Slideshow extensions here. And found that most are good enough for a simple slideshow.
I like RokSlideshow a lot since it's so solid and the Ken Burns effect is really cool. A new one for me is the Nivo-Szaki Slider which is very very good too by the way, check it out.
For my latest project I needed something more, something that makes you want to keep watching the slideshow.
And i tried all, well most, of the slideshow extenstions again and found Art Frontpage.
I was stunned by the demo, and to be honest a bit shocked by the price, but am now glad i bought it, this is an exceptionally beautiful extension!
If you need a slideshow that is:
easy to install and configure,
offers a very big selection of transitions,
transitions that a really different from all other slideshows you will find here,
transitions that are mostly amazingly beautiful
has a really fast and responsive support.
Art Frontpage is, probably, the only serious option!

This is an very easy mod! Super easy to install and it looks very sharp!
Just throw some images in a folder and the script generates very nice effects! Very easy to control and even usable as a complete gallery!

I purchased this module and couldn't be happier. The effects are impressive and there are many of them. The module is simple and easy to configure and the support team was quick and helpful to resolve any issues. The fact that it is written in Java and avoids Flash is a plus also. I would highly recommend the module, if just for the eye-catching graphic effects!!!!
