VCNT identifies and counts visitors via the IP address. Bots can be detected and excluded over the user agent header. Note: No personal data is stored.

Very easy to install and set up. Much more accurate then the standard joomla module. Provides a nice breakdown and clean look on the frontpage. The backend module is great for quick stats analysis.

I like this simple visitor counter, it's easy to set up and runs with no trial-and-error excercises. Also nice the back-end module to go with it (sepeate download). I give it full mark.

I am very happy with the visitor counter. In the menu of the counter you can change the language, for us is that Dutch. But where can i change the language "Currently are no guests and no members online" ?

Hi, I must update joomla manually. I had joomla 2.5 and now I want to update it to 2.5.1.
With the 2.5 version, I could export the table without any problem but now CVNT doesn't recognize my visitors. I would like to keep all the counter's info. What tables should I export? Thanks in advance!

I like the counter for its simplicity and ease. I can configure almost everything from the administration, and only needed to change a few things in a Spanish translation to look fine for the site. I have a couple of problems: every time I hit reload, the counter keeps adding a visitor, and the number of visitors is always too high for the site, like over a 100. I don't know if it is a problem with the counter, or something else, but beyond that, the module is very useful and well written.

Easily installed and running on two sites. Gives you what is expected of a counter: precise information, opt-out the bots, and no extra add-ons that distract from more important areas of your site. Yes, as others have said, I also missed the English instructions, but even still, it's very straightforward.

5 stars! Why? There are a lot of counters/stats modules in the JED, and believe me i tried a lot. All of them worked, but... this one is simply neat, no bling bling css and whistles, simply all the options you wished easy configurable by the module parameters. If you need stats wich you can simply integrate to your website, grab it! Thanks to the developer for sharing.

Iam using in three Joomla 1.5 sites. But its not working perfectly in Joomla1.6 site. While refreshing or reloading the page, hits get simply increased.

The version for Joomla! 1.6 uses the same code basis. Why don't you ask first in the forum for help? I can't reproduce the behavior on my test-installations.
Just now downloaded and installed this extension. I am usually hesitant to download extensions that aren't marked as "popular", but how do you know until you try it? Had no problems installing and I like the simplicity of the visitor count. There are plenty more options and even a contest that you can involve your visitors in. Maybe if my site grows I will utilize this feature.

I looked at this module and thought well I read Basic German and thought what the heck give is a go.
Easy to install, over to module, the module is mostly in English great! I did not understand some settings, watched the installation video, bingo installed.
What I was impressed with is three options:
1: Block Bots
2: Set locktime
3: Activate Contest
This is exactly what a module should be,I used the compact view fitted my site a treat.

If you don't like the colored pictures of the vinora counter - this is the best alternative design: All information in a cool design. If the counter does not work from the start this is depending on the settings of php4/php5 running-mode of your hosting server. Simply download the php4 version of the extension and all is ok. (That is the point: the latest version of this extension is in php5.)
