Administrators can predefine content templates, categorize them into the category tree and manage them. It is also possible to specify content categories, for which should be the template loaded automatically in the editor or directly to the article.
Those templates can be then inserted to editor by button under it. You can predefine article structure, or just part of it, or whatever else you need to use again and again.
Currently are supported plugins to select
- Template Position (inserts {loadposition} code)
- Module (inserts {loadmodule} code)
- Youtube - (choose video from your account on youtube and insert as link, or AllVideos plugin)
- File (insert link or AllVideos code)
- Path (insert SimpleImage gallery code)
- PhocaMaps (insert map or link to map)
- DJ Image Slider (insert DJ Image Slider plugin code)
With fresh install demo data are included.

I have been using this extension with j1.5 for a while for our users to insert a wide range of into articles. The extension has import and export which is useful and you can organise the templates by category. I just updated to j2.5 and the categories are not displaying properly. A quick post to the forum and I had a reply - had to reset the access levels all is working okay. Excellent support.
Excellent extension! It works very well and seems like something that could have been built into joomla. The only minor issue I had was figuring it out, I would suggest adding a documentary on how to use this. This is also great for wanting automatic text to appear and is a great for inserting templates.

When I found this extension I was searching for a thin and easy-to-use possibility to built templates for articles. And that's what I get with n3tTemplate.
It was important that the other users, which dont't have any knowledge and understanding of programming, can use this extension easily and intuitionally; and they love it :)
I use Joomla 1.7+ for my project. The installation is easy and works without any problems. The support is fantastic though it's non-commercial.

It is a really great extension and the only Templater working with Joomla 1.7
Unfortunately there is a Javascript Bug with Google Chrome. When you try to insert a Template, the popup Windows is empty.
"Uncaught ReferenceError: Invalid left-hand side in assignment"
BTW: I would put the extension to the "code snippets" section and describe the functionality a little bit more. Otherwise others might not recognize this great extension.

Thank you for feedback. The Google Chrome issue is solved in version 1.6.1, please use the upgrade function in Joomla or upgrade manually.
