Very Dissapointing Software and Lack of Support

I used this to: We was using it on a recruitmemt site but we cant use it now as they cant fix it as support says we have to use bootstrap 2 the old version, yet we are running our site on bootstrap 3 the new version. You cant find this out till you download it. We tried to resolve but no chance.

Functionality

Okay but admin can't fill out new user and send details. The activation is very hard for new users to figure out.

board has no traffic when I last looked so it was not help. The guy logged in to my site and did some tweaks but, again, was not a winner

Owner's reply: We never stated the extension allows the admin to fill out user profiles on their behalf. If this feature was so crucial to you, perhaps our extension was not your best option. We always instruct our potential clients to check out the demo, the documentation, and most importantly to ASK US about any features they need and if our product has them. We do not lie in any way regarding our products, and we are not ashamed to say when a product doesn't have a certain requirement.

Regarding activation, all what users have to do, is register and access a component menu, after which they will be prompted to enter their details to use the component fully. It's the web common for registered users. If this is too complicated, then we must wonder how any website has any users these days.

We don't see how our forum traffic has any influence on product quality or support. It is a product support forum, not a general discussion forum! Also, most of our customer support is done by separate ticket system. If we are to login onto a customer website it will happen when we can't replicate an issue on our own test servers, and only preceded by the customer acceptance and in strict order just to investigate and fix the reported issue if confirmed. All reported issues are investigated and our customer support response times are max. 24 hours during the week, due to different time zones, but we never leave anything aside and put great value on the total support we are offering.

Functionality

Many cross functions currently don't work. Community builder bridging for one

Ease of use

Probably one of the most complex components I have used, adding fields for example requires multiples steps of creation and assignment

Support

Pretty poor for an expensive component. Many queries get short answers on the forum or one line responses. Same Questions over and over.

Documentation

Poorly worded and many of the links are out of date or plain don't work

Value for money

Current state it is not worth the money. The amount of time spent getting it to work is better spent on another component

Owner's reply: Setting up a Community Builder integration, which is a dedicated profile extension, with another extension which also has its own user profile will never be 'simple' from a technical point of view.
Yet all our extension requires (if the integration is needed), is for you to create some fields in CB, and assign them using some drop down boxes. We do our best to guide every customer and point out the required steps, including the documentation, it is a shame you could not manage to get it to work and gave up. It really is as simple as creating some fields in CB and selecting them from a dropbox in our extension.

Regarding Custom Fields (also if any custom field is needed, except the default extension fields), yes it requires multiple steps, one for creation, and one for assignment. How else would it know what kind of fields you want and where to display them? This is done via a simple interface, no coding, no file access required. Just follow the step by step instructions provided in our documentation.

Regarding the out of date links, this was caused due to a forum migration at that time, and it still had links posted to the older forum regarding the language files for the extension. Nothing else.
If you accessed the documentation directly, not from our forum or some search engine, the links were very much valid. Which is a far cry from 'many of the links are out of date or plain don't work' as you stated. We have an entire site sub-domain, dedicated only to the extensions documentation, which covers all extension features and available settings in detail.

Regarding the unanswered posts, please note that our extension support covers extension issues, not also further customization or tweaks. We cannot include any extra code development, in the extension price. If the time allows, we can only provide short tweaks on our forum, but not more then a couple of code lines. We feel sorry you gave up on the extension, since as you also stated is is quite complex. I can only suggest for you to download the latest major version, proceed with the installation following the extension documentation step-by-step, then if any issue might arise, just contact us, since we always support and maintain our products and offer the best possible customer service.

Functionality

Has just about everything you could or would need for a recruitment/jobs site, great template system for the developer/webmaster out there.

Ease of use

Easy enough to use, it's just mssing the back button from some of the admin areas, other than that it's spot on

Support

Support forum is better than most, questions get answered normally within 24hours, the ticket system is even faster, which is a nice bonus

Documentation

Good, simple to understand

Value for money

A fair price for a really comprehensive extension, can't fault the functionality of this extension as much as I tried...

What is missing, in my opinion to make it perfect:

# Invoices and automatic sending

# A bit more professional design or themes.
