I purchased Auction Factory before 2 months but still it is not working. I have message to support but they are fixing from 2 month.

Running in production for five years

Functionality
It meets my needs for running an auction site. I have added some extra reporting functionality using another extention.
Ease of use
Easy to use. I really like the text file import functionality. It makes loading of many auctions very easy and quick.
Support
I had some issues and bugs in the startup face but support was always swift and problems were fixed quickly.
Documentation
Documentation is ok. I have also documented my implementation thoroughly which makes upgrades painless.
Value for money
If you compare the functionality to making your own extention, this is not expensive.
I used this to: Running an auction site for collectors. 24×7 for five years now.

Functionality
Good idea but useless for real traders. I am trader for more then 20 years
Ease of use
impossible to use: check 1st field price (is this per mt, item, litter and etc.) no place where goods available and more bugs like this
Support
No support at all. Manager just send link which impossible to use.
I spend one week to receive correct answer (limit 170 chars)
Documentation
Not corresponds to the real functionality. Admin send you link and you can not follow (check for multilang web)
Value for money
Very expensive and not only money, you have to find new developer which can help you for support
I used this to: I use for one week from 7 of May 2020, then request to return money via PayPal as result, no money back and admin banned me to support tickets

Decent product but bad coding

Functionality
Decent functionalities and features for an Auction component, however the legacy code is not suitable for long term use.
Ease of use
Reasonably easy to use but the user interface is not very intuitive. I would prefer better user interface
Support
Support was reasonably efficient but only for general and simple support issues.
Documentation
Decent but not very helpful. The code must be updated regularly to be compatible with the different Joomla versions.
Value for money
Very poor. Honestly a waste of money because the poor code quality and updates. The auction component may contain alot of legacy code.
I used this to: Auction website that might need to use the latest Joomla CMS version. The legacy code is a real pain for people that need to update their Joomla CMS versions regularly.

Functionality
OK - but not usable in real business. No accounting, invoicing, reporting etc. out of the box. I hired a programmers to add those!
Ease of use
The main functionality is really easy to use, but lacks some important features to run real auction site! Backend lacks some admin features!
Support
Can be better! Bought the component 2 years ago and got it finally running 2 months ago! Waited long time of different bug fixes!
Documentation
Exists and contains some information, but nothing very useful...
Value for money
Expensive! Definitely cheaper than building same kind of component out of scratch, but you need to pay same price yearly for support!
I used this to: Running real auction site!

Pretty happy with the component for now - but as said, I let some parts completely rewritten and made some custom integrations with another components to use it for real live site!

Overall - good, but can be better (support & functionality)!

Ease of use
Useless. Many parts are broken or missing. Registration and profile data missing(state, city, zipcode)
Support
Support is horrible. When you report that sold order details are not available, dev says most of their customers don't use or need them
Documentation
Documentation is Ok. I am not a programmer, but I have set up many e-commerce sites, including multi-vendors. Many features are missing.
Value for money
Complete waste of money! Many features missing. No built-in shipping, No way to apply taxes, no country elements.
I used this to: My license expired and have not been able to go to production. It has some nice features but requires a lot of modification. Do not buy if you are not an advanced php programmer. Be prepared to lose your money or to invest further in development.
Owner's reply: Unfortunately another REVENGE review! After one year, when the customer license expired, he just wanted to receive from us another license but for free, and since this is not possible, he posted this revenge review. The fact that he used the product for one year and still wanted further licensing speaks for the product itself. The content of this REVENGE review is a pure fiction, which has nothing to do with the product features. He is complaining about some options that do not exist, nor even ever stated to be available!

We noticed that the layouts scripts and codes seemed patched together from different sources, which is not a problem

Not very intuitive backend. phpfactory , i see you answer very thoroughly each not great review. Not intuitive is what i and many others say

There will be support of course. Also the support of letting JED delete critical reviews. JED: we have used this component: it is sketchy

Obviously non native english speakers. Hard to follow sometimes
Value for money
absolutely not given. Less then many free components, But unfortunately no alternatives

Functionality
It meets the needs of my client. It has many features.
Ease of use
It is easy to add auctions and set up your site but don't think about making any edits at all if you want any help from support.
Support
Support is very curt and will not go above & beyond to help. They always answer with "upgrade to the latest version" no matter what you ask.
Documentation
Not bad. Has what is needed. Even API info if you need to create a plugin.
Value for money
Its a little pricey for what you get. It is a nice extension overall but expensive if you have basic needs.

Owner's reply: We provide the best support and response time!
Maybe you should about that our answer is the same, if the question is repeating itself also 3 times in a row.
Our job is to maintain a high quality of the code and to support it along the years and with each new Joomla version.
Other then this (like explaining how to perform a certain customization) is not included in the extension price. If you perform any modification to your customer site, you should do them properly (meaning in separate files), so an update won't affect you at all. Like this you offer the best solution to your customer and also the most secure one, if you are constant able to update the CMS and the present extensions to their latest versions.
