Functionality

It does what it says it should do, I think. There are quirks to work around to get it to behave.

No, sorry. The bugs and quirks make it very fiddly to behave.

You can't ask anything without paying - fair enough. You can't even see previoius Q&As without paying. Not OK:

Basic, haven't found a fault with it. But there is only the basic settings not detailing workarounds.

Owner's reply: Attention: Regarding the support I think you are mistaken here the forum boards! To our FREE products the forum access to their correspondent topics has no limitation! If you wanted to access a commercial extension from our product range, then yes, of course there is no access, since there is a difference between free and commercial products. In this case (of a free for download product) the forum access has no limitation and also the product support is free of any charge!

Also I think you are mistaken the purpose of a Documentation, which serves as an Admin and User Guide. A documentation cannot present you any tweaks, since those are up to each webmaster and programmer who wants to extend further the extension depending on his own particular needs.

I'll suggest for you to try out the latest major version (in this case 3.x) which is now available for download, since not only that all signaled issues are fixed (as soon as they are reported and confirmed), but also it presents a new major extension overhaul.

After testing the latest version, if you have later the time, we will appreciate if you revise your rating, based on the existing extension features, not of any personal customization requests. Thank you!

Full of Bugs

I used this to: I tried using this on an intranet site for departmental feedback and suggestions but its too buggy. With the amount of bugs it comes across as an alpha product and I'm glad it was free but a bit upset I lost 2 hours trying to fix their bugs.

Owner's reply: If any issues with it, you don't have to fix them on your own, just post on our forum and our team will verify asap. If the issue is confirmed, then we are issuing immediately a new build which will address to any reports. Most of the time issues are caused by external factors, which are revealed only on certain configurations and environments, but we are offering full support in order to provide a professional solution, even if it's a free product.

I'll suggest for you to try out the latest major version (in this case 3.x) which is now available for download, since not only that all signaled issues are fixed (as soon as they are reported and confirmed), but also it presents a new major extension overhaul. Also, please do not forget to check the extension Documentation, where all available feature and settings are described in details.

This component is not working on Joomla 2.5.7

It saves the things well to the database but it doesn't show any suggestion. It always says:

You can add a feedback Here or search in feedbacks list

I tried it on some new installs with defaults and custom themes without other plugins and it always have the same bugs so it isn't a plugin incompatibility

Owner's reply: Please use the latest Joomla 2.5.x version!

This extension seems really cool seeking the demo. But also if install well, it does not work at all.

The vote function does not work (and i tried different templates, unpublish some plugins/modules) and also the search don't.

This probably comes from a conflict of these extension with joomla or other thing.

There's no documentation and no support...

Owner's reply: Of course we are offering support for all our extensions, even for the free ones like this. This one has paid support. As you noticed on our site there is a small fee of 10€ for a support subscription.

Especially in such cases, where it's not even a component issue and your issue was generated by a third party plugin, it's a pity that you considered to review us so negative without even really trying to get support from us.

As you see there are a lot of customers that had absolutely no issue with our component.
