Delete My Account is a Open Source Joomla! plugin, which can give an option to your site members, through which they can delete their account. Obviously, there is an option for admin that user' account should be delete of blocked, once user deletes his/her account. If user deletes his/her account, then an email will be sent to all the Admin users that "An user has deleted his account". What you have to do is,

Install this plugin and enable it
Show any link or button which has the class "f90-delete-my-account". It can be you menu link, link in module or any other way to display a link.

Functionality

Frontend users being more and more apprehensive about spamming, it is reassuring to have the possibility to delete ones account at any time

Does al wat promised. Would be a great addition to Joomla! core.

Ease of use

Admin is notified, account not deleted.

Good! Clear and usefull. Would like some more explanation how to add it to an existing module.

I used this to: A non profit website for Dutch Veterans. THis should be standard embedded in the joomla core. I always find it strange that one can register but never unregister on a Joomla site. That should be a right someone has to have. So please embed it in the core.

This extension should not be needed, its functionality should be integrated in Joomla. I'm even more pleased that it exists and that it does a perfect job. Will be on my list of extensions to install on every site.
