Introduction

News Display, Quotes

A simple module to display quotes or information from a text file. The information can be displayed (rotated) randomly, daily, weekly, monthly or every hour or every minute. You can have as many files as you like, unlimited quotes in each and style them by administrator params or css file. Now includes automatic future updates and a help file.

Functionality
LIKE IT! I have no suggestions for improvements. It displays text either random or daily, up to a year. It's just what I need.
Ease of use
Really easy. Really. There are just a few pretty simple choices.
Support
Haven't needed it. There have never been any issues at all with bugs.
Documentation
It's very straightforward. There is nothing difficult to understand as far as I'm concerned.Just look at the help link.
I used this to: I use it on my church site to show a different Bible verse with a comment for every day. I use a text file which is actually compiled for another purpose, so getting a file with 365 different quotes really isn't that much work for me.

Works great, simple setup

Functionality
I display over a 1000 quotes on my newsletters with new ones appearing on every page update. This slick and simple solution makes it easy.

Functionality
A simple and easy to use module, which does what it says on the can.

I have also used it to display multiply quotes on a page using different fronts and colours, yes its that cool
Ease of use
Although not difficult to use once you have got the hang of it. It will require a lot of input if you want it to change daily. e.g. 365 if you want a new quote each day. or you can use less and every few months it would repeat, its up to you.
Support
The technical support is excellent and sometimes the response time can be hours and not days.
The developer is also willing to consider possible improvements which you might want to propose for updates.
Documentation
Not a lot of documentation, you just need to copy the format of the default files

I've used this extension for over a year and been very pleased with it. It set up simply, is not too difficult to update, and it just WORKS. It has the option to rotate the quotes daily, weekly, monthly, etc. -- exactly what our group needed so that we are all seeing the same quote at the same time for discussion purposes. Works based on a txt file which is fast to update in a text editor.
