Finally I found it. A simple horizontal scroll for articles (latest 6 selected from 3 categories in my case), with a nice fade effect and only text (the article title) as a link to the news.

Doesn't work for my J1.5

Hello,

I installed this on my Joomla 1.5 site and tried but doesn't work. I changed all the available parameters but doesn't seems to work. Seems like this module has issue with the script used on the site.

Does exactly as it says on the tin. I've got a section for news and multiple categories within so wanted it to display the latest from the news section, whatever category. Worked a treat, easy to set-up and looks great on the site.

Set the fade to start bright white so it looks like it flashes. Nice touch.

I found this news scroller useful and elegant. It integrated well and seems to run smoothly. I chose it to get away from persistent Mootools conflicts with other extensions.

The only minor problem I found was that when using Google Translate, only the current news item is translated to the new language - then the news items revert to English (my site language).

A really nice extension. I had a small problem installing it because my installer kept thinking the unzipped version was still zipped but after three tries it installed and is working beautifully. The initial problem may well have been with my installer. Thank you, I have tried several of these news scrollers and I like this the best.
