I bought this about 2-3 weeks ago, and I did NOT read the documentation closely, I just kind of 'dove in' and started using it. I think if I had, I'd try to give it MORE than 5 stars, because even without reading everything, it has exceeded my expectations!

You go to the component, you see the 'real' URLS, you see what the 'SEF' URLS, and you just change it to what you want. Brilliant!

And being able to edit keywords and descriptions for all pages, without going to each page and doing so, is the icing on the cake.

LOVE this extension.

Mess up the titles

Messed up titles, all titles are the same. Cannot be controlled by its configuration.

Meta tags generator does not works.

Wasted lots of time trying to fix titles of articles.

I am using this extension for a technical website with lots of keywords (tags) which is a new feature in Joomla 3.x. I have only tested this extension on articles, categories, and tags. The extension works for articles and categories, but it does not work for tags. When I tried to use just the common settings (JoomSEF Basic), my menu item for displaying all of the tags became messed up. To "fix" this I had to active the "advanced options", and then set "change index.php to current menu" to "no". Although it fixed the menu, it did not fix tag links which still have the itemID in them. No matter how I changed the settings, I could not get the item ID to not display. I will have to export the tags, fix them manually, and then import them. Also, there should be an option on the configuration page to say "save and update URLs or delete URLs", because if you forget that step you will think that the options did not do anything when in fact it did. I briefly looked at Meta Keywords, and I noticed that a lot of symbols were getting put into the keywords. I have not looked into all of the options related to meta keywords to know if this can be turned off. I don't know if there is any option to tell JoomSEO to included tags in the meta keywords.

The extension requires much time to understand all features. But after this, is very flexible and adoptable to all kind extensions. Very good. There are support team with prompt reply.

Great extension :

- very configurable, lots of options.

- lots of additional plugin for popular Joomla component

- nice and quick support (forrum and mail contact

- frequent updates

Inconvenience : you must work some hours to understand how clearly the component run but support can help you.

The support from Artio is the best I have experienced from any of the Joomla developers I have come across so far. They are fast to reply to emails, answer dumb emails too from people like me who are a little slow with computers. I have a highly modified website and their product works with issue throughout the entire website.

Been using this component through all the versions on many Joomla sites and can't recommend it highly enough. It does the job, and has good support for many other components I use via the extensions they have available. Have only ever used paid version so cant comment on Free version

This componenet is very poor. In free version its link to author's web site.

Also, this component generates huges amount of data in DB so my server getting slower and slower (when i have uninstall this component my site was multiple time faster)

Its not good to advice me that i have use better server if the problem is in component.

Also, if you use this component and after month-two realize that is very poor your links will be invalid and google search would not bring visitors.

I would NOT recommend this componenet to anybody,

thanks for your feedback. Anyway, I disagree:
1. well, the backlink info in free version is generally known, so I believe that should not be a reason to complain

2. many links + speed - there really is no problem in the component, partly, this is because of the principle how the component works - it has to store the links to DB to be able to support "any" SEF URL links; sencondly, problems may be connected with improper configuration in relation to 3rd party components -- if the component is not supported, you may need to disable JoomSEF for it in order to prevent generating too many links

3. I do not see a smallest reason, why the generated links should be invalid to Google; we are ourselves using the same component at our website for about 7 years now and really have no problems
