Introduction

Modals - make links open in modal popups.

Modals is a powerful plugin that allows you to easily create cool modal popups on your site.

Modal popup windows are fancy popups also known as Lightboxes.

You can make modals / lightboxes for whatever you want: text, articles, other internal pages, external pages, images, videos, and even full-blown Modal Image Galleries & Slideshows with thumbnail creation.

Modals is packed with options to control the modal popups.

There are several ways Modals can covert links:
    ★ Via the special Modal tags {modal ...}...{/modal}
    ★ By class names (all links with defined class names)
    ★ All external links
    ★ By target="_blank" (all links with a target. Internal and/or external)
    ★ By filetypes (all links to given filetypes)
    ★ By url matches (also supports regular expressions)

The Modal tags are simple:

Functionality
Great for popups. Combine Modals with noNumbers Advanced module manager and you have even more control over your popups!
Ease of use
I'm no joomla expert and have basic HTML skills, but I quickly settled in and managed to get the basics sorted out in no time
Support
I was stuck with a problem, posted a question on the forum and within half an hour received a response from Peter. This was on a Sunday!
Documentation
Actually quite detailed. Confusing at first but after a second read it all fell into place. Lots of basic examples.
I used this to: A donations popup plus scroll-able ads in one popup, like a clickable slideshow! Fantastic!

Ease of use
Download, deploy, use tag, have result.
Support
Peter quickly and patiently takes care of problems. Even a strange environment-specific problem was found and addressed. Good communication!
Documentation
Comprehensive tutorial on provider website. Well structured, good overview, all detail that is needed.

Has loads of functionalities related to how the link/ trigger appears and ways of controlling the modal popup itself

This extension is a big pleasure to learn to use. Basic usage is unbelivable easy, advanced options likewise

Product works well and clean format. Responsive for initial lightbox opening. I would mark this 100% if it was fully responsive with browser

Great instruction on how to use it and works very well

After upgrading to latest software I had a conflict. Peter advised me were the problem was and a quick fix. Very responsive and helpful!!

Very clean and easy to follow
I used this to: Adding read more in a lightbox for multilple article blog page. It helps keep the user on one page and offers the user more information when they want it. works well
Owner's reply: The modals should be more responsive on browser resizing now.

Functionality
Pop-ups for images, links, menu items, you name it. Fully responsive when done correctly w/Bootstrap.
Ease of use
Easy! I had to read a bit, of course, but the forums are manned and questions are answered. Easy if you understand ANY HTML/CSS at all.
Support
Very good. I'm using the PRO version, paid, but the support looks good for free, too. Peter pops up on the forums + answers questions fast.
Documentation
Fair-to-middling. The FAQ's are pretty good. Tutorials better than most free extensions. I could wish for a LITTLE more documentation.
I used this to: A large corporate site with a zillion pop-up images, contact forms, links, etc. Works wonderfully well. Sometimes, you have to get creative, e.g., if you want modal image inside a Bootstrap accordion, you have to use img-responsive, but it works. If it doesn't, Peter helps.
