Introduction

Modals - make links open in modal popups.

Modals is a powerful plugin that allows you to easily create cool modal popups on your site.

Modal popup windows are fancy popups also known as Lightboxes.

You can make modals / lightboxes for whatever you want: text, articles, other internal pages, external pages, images, videos, and even full-blown Modal Image Galleries & Slideshows with thumbnail creation.

There are several ways Modals can covert links:
★ Via the special Modal tags {modal ...}...{/modal}
★ By class names (all links with defined class names)
★ All external links
★ By target="_blank" (all links with a target. Internal and/or external)
★ By filetypes (all links to given filetypes)
★ By url matches (also supports regular expressions)

The Modal tags are simple:

Functionality

More than just a lightbox. Has so many more features that other lightbox programs just do not have.

Ease of use

No complicated setup. Simple shortcodes with lots of parameters that give you the results you won't without the headaches. It just works!

Support

Not sure where Peter finds time to build his extensions and answer all the forum questions, but he does!

Documentation

All the instructions are on Nonumber's website and are the best tutorials made by a developer.

I used this to: I've used the free version on nearly all of the sites I've built recently and have yet to need the Pro version until now.

I am very impressed with this extension. It does exactly what it says it does. I had some issues with customizing the code and the developer responded quickly in the support forum. I am using the free version and it works perfectly on my site.

Modals is an easy to use and lightweight plugin that does exactly what it says it will do. Installation and setup take very little time.

Even though I am using the free version, my question in the support forum was answered within an hour.

I highly recommend this and any other NoNumber extension.

Modals is one of the best extensions for Joomla that I have used. Modals are suitable for all types of Joomla websites, and they are very handy and make your website look more professional. The syntax is very simple to understand, even for somebody with little experience of CMS' like myself. The developer also regularly answers questions/problems related to this extension, which I have read and found to be very helpful in their own right. I highly recommend this extension!
