Admin Tools is a true Swiss Army knife for your site. Our freely available Admin Tools Core fix your files' and directories' permissions, protect your administrator directory with a password, migrate links pointing to your old domain on-the-fly and perform database maintenance, all with a single click. Now with Joomla! 5 support!

We have two currently maintained version families. Admin Tools 7: Joomla 4, PHP 7.2 or later. Admin Tools 6: Joomla 3.10, PHP 7.2 or later. Older versions for end–of–life versions of PHP and Joomla available without support on our site.

A commercial edition (Admin Tools Professional) with extra security-oriented features is also available from our site for a fee. This listing is about the free version, Admin Tools Core.

The software is free of charge, its support is not. You need a subscription to request support. However, its documentation, the troubleshooting information, video tutorials and searching the public tickets is free of charge.

Note: Admin Tools 7 is actively supported on Joomla! 4 and 5. Admin Tools 6 for Joomla! 3 is on security maintenance (no new features or bug fixes will be released).

This Joomla component has been of immense help to my projects so far and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking to protect his/her website for hackers out there.

I resist paying for extensions mainly because I'm just cheap... but this one has saved my bacon multiple times.



i was a little nervous to use the htaccess stuff, but tried it anyway, and it works perfectly.



I don't normally write reviews, but this extension is just too good to ignore. In fact, this entire functionality should be written right into the joomla core.



I liked this so much, I bought the backup extension as well, and I'm just as happy with that, and for the record, I'm not easy to please.



Do yourself a favor, Just buy this and the backup extension, and the vast majority of your headaches with your joomla sites will evaporate.

I knew I was getting attacked at my site but it wasn't till I installed Admin tools that I knew the total extent of it. After starting with the free version I upgraded to the pro version and couldn't be happier. If you have a Joomla site this is a MUST Have tool!

I have 40 websites all running Admin Tools, Not one site has been attacked since we started using Admin Tools, There have been many attempts, but no successful attacks.



The process is simple - Install Joomla then install admin tools.



Its easy to configure and makes keeping your site up to date with the latest versions of Joomla and Admin Tools very simple.



Its a shame I can only give you 5 stars (Excellent!) - It should be 10
