Google Analytics Dashboard - Custom Dimensions

Using custom dimensions (Universal Google Analytics or Google Analytics 4) Google Analytics Dashboard is able to:

track user by its type: registered or guest
track visits per author (a quick way to see popular editors)
track visits per categories (a quick way to determine most popular categories)
track visits per publication year (identify performance over time)

Google Analytics Dashboard - Events

Google Analytics Dashboard supports event tracking; you can use it to generate analytics data about downloads and external links. This is a great feature that will enable you to track your affiliate performance and to generate your own affiliate statistics in your Google Analytics account.

Please note, it usually takes some time for the custom dimensions reports to be generated.

Event Tracking is part of real-time feature, you should be able to see events right away, in your Google Analytics account on Real-Time -> Events dashboard.

To my knowledge, the only possibility to show important analytics directly in the administration.

Relatively straightforward to install - Work every time — I use also their plugin - System - Advanced Google Analytics

They got a support forum and you get answers relatively fast

The documentation is clear

I used this to: Use it on all my sites because site owner are not necessarily web savvy & get lost easily in Google Analytics. A simple way for them to have an idea of what happen on their site.

I've tried to install this on about 50 sites... all on the same Bluehost reseller server. A few work fine... most DO NOT.

This is a great admin module that does exactly what it's supposed to: display google analytics data in the backend.

I am knocking off a star because there seem to be no way to know if an update was posted beside going to the dev website, downloading the package and checking the version inside. I wish it would integrate in Joomla extension update mechanism.

Very simple to install. Video Tutorial is easy to follow. Looks beautiful on admin panel. Picks up analytics instantly. I can't say enough positive things about this.
