The plugin has its own settings and update feed. When installed on a site with Sticky Admin active, Toolkit disables Sticky Admin and enables its own sticky master switch. Sticky Admin’s saved settings and files are retained.

APPEARANCE

Choose from ten ready-made looks, select light or dark mode, and adjust the main colours, dashboard card colours and fonts.

Appearance controls cover the Joomla logo background, header controls, menu hover and selected states, the Options button and icon, form labels and fieldsets, tabs, permission groups, information notices and enhanced dropdowns.

The compact colour picker stays open while you adjust colours. Select Set to apply your choice or Cancel to keep the previous colour. An isolated preview lets you review appearance choices before saving.

STICKY CONTROLS

Keep the header, sidebar menu, action toolbar and article or module tabs visible as you scroll. Each sticky feature has its own switch, alongside a master switch.

MY TOOLS SHORTCUTS

Create a My Tools shortcuts menu at the top of the administrator menu, above Home Dashboard. Use the searchable checklist to select up to 30 shortcuts from 35 built-in administrator destinations and available installed-component menu links.

Individual System shortcuts include Database, Global Check-in, installation, language management, templates and updates. The selection is shared across the site, and each administrator sees only shortcuts permitted by their access rights.

Admin Toolkit appears first inside My Tools for users allowed to edit its settings. Safe settings appears last for recovery.

REORDER MY TOOLS

The numbered “Selected tools — menu order” list shows your selected shortcuts in their saved order.

• Use Move up and Move down to rearrange shortcuts.
• Use Remove to deselect a shortcut.
• Save using Joomla’s normal Save button to apply the order to the sidebar menu.
• Admin Toolkit stays first and Safe settings stays last.
• Existing selections and their order are preserved when upgrading.
• Search filters the available checklist without hiding the ordered list.

ARTICLE TITLE POSITION

Position article titles on the front end using the Article display settings:

• Default: keep the template’s current title position.
• Above image: place the title above the main image or gallery.
• Below image: place the title below the main image or gallery.
• Over image: display a white title on a dark gradient at the top of the image frame.

This feature supports single main images and Articirra Article Image Gallery on full article pages without editing template files. Gallery controls retain their behaviour.

Article title positioning requires JavaScript and recognised Joomla article, title and image markup. Standard Joomla/Cassiopeia and JA Alpha markup is supported. Articles without a recognised main image or visible title retain their existing layout. Category and blog cards, and images inside the article body, are unaffected.

Articirra Article Image Gallery is a separate plugin and is not included with Admin Toolkit.
