Dropdown Last Modified

Introduction

Updated Info, News Display, Articles Display

This module displays a dropdown list with the last modification date on as dropdown text. Upon selection, the article is retrieved.
The list is sorted on modification date from recent to older. Optional modification date can be shown before or after the article title or alias in the dropdown list.

The module is an extension ('fork') from the module Dropdown Articles from Andrea Forgieri. It has the same functionality as Dropdown Articles but extended with an extra ordering.

Text can be customized with pre and post text. Also the text for earlier articles in the dropbox is customisable. The date format can also be specified.
Lenght of list can be customised. Optional display of the modification date before or after the article name.
The display in the dropdown box can be customized using a css file in ...media/moddropdownlastmodified/moddropdownlastmodified.css

- Output can be restricted to one or more categories.
- Title Alias can be displayed instead of Title.
- Basic styling is possible from module configuration.
- Joomla multi-language and Falang compatible
- Core SEF and sh404SEF compatible
- Available for Joomla 3, Joomla 4+

Functionality

I used articles dropdown of Andrea Forghieri; unfortunately that one is not J6ready. This is a perfect replacement

Ease of use

couldn't be more easy to use this module; haven't tried the last modified feature , because i did not need that (for now)

Documentation

concise and to the point; no words are spilled when not needed; nothing more to be said about it

I used this to: showing articles for selection in dropdown version in alphabetical order; do not need the 'last modified' addition that is part of this work as a fork of Andrea Forghieri's module; would like to thank the developer for this

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review! I checked the articles dropdown of Andrea Forghieri (version 4.1.1, build 23) and it worked perfect in Joomla 6 (also without B/C).
