ANK Image Compress optimizes JPEG, PNG and WebP images stored in Joomla's images folder. The package includes an administrator component and a Joomla Scheduled Tasks plugin. Scan existing images, compress one image or a batch, and automatically process new images on a schedule. Search the image list, review original and optimized sizes, track savings and API balance, and restore an original when needed. The interface is available in English, Russian, Spanish, French and Simplified Chinese. Images are sent over HTTPS to the ANK Image Lab API for processing; an account and API key are required. The service includes 500 successful compressions per calendar month at no charge, with optional paid credits for additional usage. Joomla 5 or 6 and PHP 8.3 or later are required.
