Hazelchat puts an AI chat agent on your Joomla site. It answers visitors' questions from the pages and documents you approve, shows the source under every answer, and offers an enquiry form when someone wants to talk to you. When your content has no answer, it says so instead of guessing.

How it works

Create a free Hazelchat account at hazelchat.co and add your website. Pick the pages it should answer from and try a few questions.
Install this plugin, open System - Hazelchat in System → Manage → Plugins, paste the installation code from Hazelchat, set Status to Enabled and save.
In Hazelchat, click Publish and switch on.

What the plugin does

Adds one script, https://app.hazelchat.co/widget.js with your public widget key, to the head of your public pages.
Nothing in the administrator, feeds, print views or modals. No inline code, no database tables, and no requests from your server to Hazelchat.
An optional wait for your consent manager: the chat connects only after your consent tool sends Hazelchat's consent event.
English and German.

Requires the hosted Hazelchat service (not GPL). The plugin is free software under the GPL; the chat itself runs on Hazelchat. A Hazelchat account is needed. The Free plan covers one website and 50 answers a month, needs no card and stays free. Paid plans add more answers, enquiry emails and more websites: https://hazelchat.co/pricing/. Visitors' browsers load the chat from app.hazelchat.co; their questions and any enquiry details are processed by Hazelchat (privacy notice: https://hazelchat.co/privacy/). On the Free and Starter plans the chat shows "Powered by hazelchat" inside its own window.
