Introduction

Cookie Control, GDPR

Most cookie banner extensions only show a popup: the trackers keep firing whether the visitor accepts or not. KConsensio actually blocks them. It parses the rendered page (DOM-based, not regex-on-HTML) and neutralizes matching script and iframe tags — Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps and anything else in your service catalog — so nothing loads before consent.

Every decision is written to an append-only consent log, identified only by a salted hash: the raw IP address is never stored.

Features
- Real preventive blocking of scripts and iframes on every frontend page
- 18 common services seeded on install (GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, YouTube, Vimeo, Google Maps, reCAPTCHA, Hotjar, LinkedIn, TikTok, Microsoft Clarity and more); fully editable catalog, add your own with a regex pattern, no code required
- Consent registry: append-only log with accept/reject/custom/withdraw breakdown and trend chart, CSV and XLSX export
- Visitor identifiers are a salted SHA-256 hash of a truncated IP + user agent
- Versioned policies, one per site language: activating a new policy, or adding/disabling a category, automatically re-prompts returning visitors
- Configurable re-consent interval (30-365 days)
- Google Consent Mode v2 support, Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track honoring (all opt-in)
- Cookie Scan: opt-in diagnostic that lists cookie names seen in visitors' browsers and flags those not yet in your catalog
- Banner as bottom/top bar or modal (centered, bottom, top); light, dark or automatic theme
- Optional non-blocking backdrop: the page always stays clickable, never a "cookie wall"
- Persistent "Cookie Settings" link so visitors can change or withdraw consent at any time, plus a ready-to-paste snippet for your footer
- Live banner preview from the policy editor, without touching the real consent log
- Configurable log retention with three independent purge mechanisms (scheduled task, opportunistic purge, manual "Purge now")
- Configuration export/import as a single JSON file
- The small "Powered by KConsensio" link in the preferences panel can be switched off in Options
- Automatic update notifications in the Joomla admin
- Available in 8 languages: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish

Requirements: Joomla 5.x or 6.x, PHP 8.1+ (8.3+ on Joomla 6), MySQL/MariaDB.

KConsensio is a technical tool, not legal advice: compliance also depends on the legal texts and configuration you set up.

Content Construction
On category blog and featured views, Joomla only shows a "Read more" button when the author manually inserted a split. If they forgot, the full article text is printed in the list. KAutoReadMore fixes this automatically: when an article has no manual split and its intro text exceeds a configurable limit, it is truncated safely — never cutting a word or an HTML tag in half — and a "Read more" b...

Articles Display
You have already written a Meta Description for SEO on every article, but it normally only appears in search results. KAutoSubtitle reuses that text as a visible subtitle under each article title in list views, giving readers a one-line summary before they click through — nothing extra to fill in. Articles without a Meta Description are simply shown without a subtitle; there is no fallback to a...
