- In Kunena, a forum visitor sees a (dull) stream of posts, listed one after another.
- A reply to a post is linked to the original ("parent") post—at best—by a quote, but more often simply by mentioning the author in the subject line.
- The subject line of any post is an exact duplicate of the topic title, meaning it conveys no substantive information about the content of the reply.
- And if someone happens to write an own subject line for their post, it changes the title of the entire topic (a disaster!).
TreeK has rectified all these and some other shortcomings, and has also introduced some useful new features.

TreeK presents a topic on the Kunena forum in the form of a tree structure. The content of the topic becomes easily understandable, as it shows in the message tree who replied to whom and how.

The settings of the tree window allow the user to see the content of a single post or teasers of all posts in the topic at once, choose a convenient tree view, receive a notice when a new post is added to the topic, and work with the discussion without leaving the tree window.

TreeK Fre features

• Open the post tree from Recent Topics and from post headers.
• Display the topic post tree.
• Highlight latest and active rows.
• Configure tree view in the settings window.
• Show date, time, post index, and post tooltip.
• Text post excerpts (text teaser) preserve line breaks, remove extra blank lines, and are displayed as compact tooltip-style bubbles.
• Export the tree as text.
• Navigate from the tree back to the Kunena topic.
• Parent-post navigation in the forum view.

- Joomla 5.4.7+, 6.0.x / 6.1.x
- Kunena Forum 7.0.4 - 7.0.8
TreeK should be installed again after updating Kunena.
It may work on other Joomla/Kunena builds, but they are not officially announced as supported because extensive testing has not yet been performed.
