Introduction

JEM is based on the famous Eventlist component, originally developed by Schlu.
It's a full-featured package that includes the core component as well as some very helpful modules and plugins.

JEM is open source and is developed, maintained and supported by an active community of volunteers.

April 2024
We are now releasing our second Joomla!5 compatible version with some bugfixes and added functionality (check the change log on our website).

March 2020
We are proud to announce JEM 2.3.0, our first fully responsive version of JEM! We also cleaned up the Frontend Edit Event screen to make it more logical and fixed a number of other enhancements. Check the change log at our site to see them all.
Please note thif you are updating an existing install, JEM automatically switches to this new responsive layout. If you want to use the old layout, in the Backend of your Joomla site go to Components -> JEM -> Settings -> Basic Settings and under Style, change the Layout Style back to Legacy (Table Style)

February 2018
We just released Version 2.2.3. Apart from many little fixes, we have added some nice new functions like Copy buttons for events and venues, straight from the details view and Calendar view, Ajax functionality now implemented in the standard Calendar Module (supports Ajax whenever possible), and registrations are now cleaned up on event deletion.

October 2017
Version 2.2.2 is out, now using the Joomla! Update System, so you will never miss a new version again! We also improved the code, thus making our rock stable extension even faster than before. We introduce custom fields in modules and there is a brand new plugin to list your events in any article.

September 2016
Version 2.2.0 is out, featuring enhanced Event Registration possibilities. Event creators can Invite, users can set they will Attend / Wil Not Attend. The mailer plugin now supports these changes too.
Apart for this we modified many views and fixes some other minor issues.

May 2016
For version 2.1.6 we are happy to announce that JEM is now fully PHP7 compatible! We also introduce a sidebar in the backend views when installed on Joomla 3, thus giving JEM a more native J!3 user experience.
Event registration has been enhanced, to allow attendees to send an additional comment with their registration.
And apart from this, many, many smaller enhancements and bug fixes.

November 2015
A new version of JEM was released. Along with a lot of smaller improvements (see the changelog for them) we are taking a huge step forward, bringing JEM in line with the standard Joomla ACL rules.
Before you upgrade a current installation please consider:
If you use template overrides please note that all views have been changed and there is a good chance that your overrides won't work as expected. So please check the changes and adapt your files.

August 2015
The JEM Team have released a security release and we encourage all JEM users to update your current installations.
Additionally, you will find a new module in the package: the Jubilee Module. This module shows (past) events on a specific (e.g. current) day and month ignoring the year. Useful e.g. for a birthday list.

Almost perfect

Functionality
The only problem is i could not manage to find a way repeat event every Saturday for example, not ever 1, 2, 3 or 4th, but EVERY Saturday.
Ease of use
If you know what you need - is easy to use.
Support
Documentation
I used this to: Planing event in a public organization.
Owner's reply: Hi there Eugen,

Thanks for the positive reply!

To repeat an event every week, just choose 'weekly' in the recurrence settings of the event, and the event will be repeated every week.

Please not that there is a general setting to set the time-window for many days forward repeating events are auto-created. That setting must, off course, be longer than a week ;-)
In the backend: JEM -> Settings -> Global Parameters -> "Generate events up to (days)...."

Good luck!

Very great
