Functionality

CjForum is awesome, simple and clean, and very functional. It integrates with the sociable activity stream seamlessly. It's perfect!

Ease of use

Super Simple! Love it! It's very intuitive and allows people to communicate with a bunch of features, badges, friends, etc.

Support

I am super impressed with response from support. I skipped a version updating, which caused an issue support found and corrected quickly.

Documentation

The documentation is very helpful. I found a few things, like syncing users, and connecting users, that pull all of the features together.

Value for money

Great value. I got the community package and it is awesome! It has a ton of capability and customization options.

I used this to: I am assembling a team of like-minded people to promote political solutions for the public.

Functionality

errors with community builder and returns constant 404s when navigating within the component.

Ease of use

No issues installing or navigation the component. Options screen is a bit bare bone.

Support

Issues I encountered were posted on their forums, but the developer's repose is always the same; I did a fresh install and it's fine.

Documentation

Standard wiki with a few articles, absolutely nothing in regards to their CB plugin.

Value for money

component is unusable as advertised, value is non existent. I expect a payed component to work out of the box.

I used this to: Needed a forum for a themed community/classified/forum website. The options are limited and decided to go for the payed component. Avoid this one!

Owner's reply: Thank you for posting your feedback. For the benefit of other users, I am posting the conversation that I had with you here.

1. You have never contacted us for any support either on forum or email, however, you assumed that the other people's questions were not answers and decided not to ask. However, I proactively contacted you for any assistance but you refused by saying it is not required.
2. You mentioned that the developer response is always the same on this review and came to know from your reply that it is an assumption based on forum posts. All forum posts are publicly available and anyone can read them and conclude if it is true or false.
3. You mentioned the documentation is not adequate for community builder plugin. However, the plugin does nothing but just show a list of topics on CB profile (documentation on installing and managing plugins is CB related and is available on CB site). If you could let me know what type of documentation you need, I am glad to write it.
4. You mentioned CB plugin produces 404 errors, however, you did not want support in this issue. So I cannot do any further debugging of what is the actual issue.

I assure you that these are very small problems and can be solved by contacting us for support. I am glad to help you resolve these issues if you wish to use the extension in the future.

Functionality

Has all the basic forum functionality, PM's are included. Developer is open for suggestions and improvements

Ease of use

Quite easy to set up, sometimes conflicts with 3rd party theme, but always resolved quickly.

Support

I found a few bugs and they were resolved quickly and implemented in updates.

Documentation

Good enough, but could be improved at some points.

Value for money

Definitely worth the money paid for.

I used this to: Forum on a website for people with psoriasis.

Functionality

The product is pretty versatile and has done everything that I need it to do. Has met all of my needs so far.

Ease of use

It's a pretty straight forward interface and pretty self explanatory.

This is where the product really excels! The fast response and great answers from the forum developer are amazing.

Functionality

Functionality extends beyond the out-of-the-box component and well into the activity feed module that lets you decide how to display topics.

Ease of use

Easy to manage, a bit harder to style to your site if you lack CSS knowledge. Lack of component options panel in favor of Global Config use.

Support

Support is impressive. Maverick is quick to respond. However it's rarely needed except for feature suggestions.

Documentation

Documentation is clear but could use some localization. Otherwise, everything's pretty straight forward.

Value for money

Absurd. This extension is far superior to Kunena, albeit Kunena is free and CJF is paid. If you're using Kunena, I recommend switching ASAP.

I used this to: A website that handles a growing community. I couldn't ask for a better forum, nor could I find one. Any function requirements I have are nitpicking and don't take away from the amazing original product.
