CookiesRegTech for Joomla

Prerequisites

• Joomla 5.x or Joomla 6.x
• Administrator access to the Joomla website
• An active CookiesRegTech account

Installation

Type 1: ZIP File Upload

1. Download the CookiesRegTech Joomla extension ZIP file.
2. Log in to the Joomla Administrator Panel.
3. Navigate to System → Install → Extensions.
4. Under Upload Package File, upload the extension ZIP file.
5. Wait for Joomla to complete the installation.
6. Open the CookiesRegTech component from the Administrator Panel.

Configuration

Configure CookiesRegTech from the Joomla Administrator Panel.

Setup Steps

1. Log in to the Joomla Administrator Panel.
2. Open Components → CookiesRegTech.
3. Register or connect your website using your CookiesRegTech account.
4. Configure the available settings as required.
5. Save your configuration.

After Connecting

After connecting or registering the website, the CookiesRegTech loader script and consent banner are injected into the Joomla frontend. The Joomla Administrator Panel is excluded.

The plugin page displays the account, plan, banner status, latest cookie scan results, Open Dashboard, Upgrade Plan, Disconnect, and a banner on/off toggle.

How It Works

CookiesRegTech injects a single loader script into frontend pages to enable consent management and tracker blocking.

The connection secret is kept on the server and is not exposed in the frontend page HTML.

The service provides cookie scanning, consent management, Google Consent Mode support, and a verifiable consent log.
