Joomla has a native cache and GZIP compression system, that's a good start. Speed Cache comes over as a natural improvement of the Joomla page cache system with a lot of performance, compatibility and features enhancement.

Speed Cache brings: a powerful static page caching, compatible with user sessions, a full browser cache system, a preloading cache system and a URL inclusion cache control. Some handy tools are also part of the extension like the activation for logged in and logout users, an auto-index for caching URLs and an automatic cache cleaner on specified actions. Everything is under control from the Speed Cache dashboard.

Speed Cache performance features

New static cache system: generate and send more HTML static content than the Joomla cache system
Activate a full browser caching system: the major part of the page content is stored in the user browser, including heavy resources like images. So, even pages with a lot of content will be loaded in no time. Plus, you can automatically ask this cache to be cleaned
Cache automatic regeneration after cleaning: once the cache is cleaned, it can be regenerated based on a selection of pages
Check and fix Joomla inbuilt optimization (cache and GZIP): Check for Joomla default performance system activation

Functionality

There are many features, but after doing lots of tests, the performance results are worse than those obtained with free components like JotC

Ease of use

The setup is not too difficult but several tests are required. I tried all the possible combinations, with Speed Cache alone and with JCH

Support

There is no free entry version of Speed Cache, so you need to purchase it as an act of faith, without being able to do any prior test.

Having been the second useless purchase, I asked for the refund of at least the last one obtaining a negative answer. For me, wasted money

I used this to: I had already purchased it in 2017, and then removed it immediately after the repeated server crashes. I thought of trying it again, in order to improve the performance of my website where I use Jotcache (free) + JCH, but the results are unsatisfactory.

Functionality

Largely worked right out of the box when another popular extension didn't. Works well with our CDN

Pretty straight-forward if you've read a couple of articles about the issues and visited Google PageSpeed Insights.

I've always had great support from this company. I've been using another extension for a long time. They've always been ready to help.

It's good. Helps if you've read up on the issues as well.

Good enough but serious disadvantage for server admin - you don't know what cache file corresponds to what page.

Ease of use

Yes, easy of use, works "out of the box"

Good but seems people from support are not the actual developers.

Yes, no problem at all

I used this to: Works well, there is a good feature from another user called pagebuilder pro. very nice but takes my server response time for it to 1 second. It was hurting Google rankings. Plugged this in and no more warnings for server response time. Pages load very quickly indeed, very happy.

Functionality

A very useful feature is the cache partitioning for registered and unregistered users.

Ease of use

Customizing the component is easy enough. But you need time to test everything and change settings for your site.

They were interested in my problem and quickly answered questions.

Good documentation with pictures and video.

Value for money

If you need to separate the cache for different users, then this component is definitely worth its money.

Functionality

Been using this for a few months now and my sites and server are running better than ever. Many options and does not cause the issue.

Ease of use

Takes a small bit of effort to see all the options and configure them. Like any great component it's usually not one setting and your done.

Support

Very very good support. I had an issue today with the content plugin and they replied with a new version which fixed my issue 2 hours!!!

Not sure I needed it.

Value for money

You gotta have a fast site. CMS sites are slow without caching and this has the bells and whistles needed. Finally something to rival WP!

I used this to: All my sites now have this and it's made a huge difference in the load times and server loads. It's the best.

Functionality

The Joomla optimization is something complex and they've made that simple! Follow the process, add your page to the cache, done!

Ease of use

Like I said it's really simple and it just work fine. I would like to have a clean cache button in the admin in a future version.
