I must say, this is a must-have extension of ANY Joomla! site you have.



I like the ability to chose which icons you want to show, this is very helpful for less experienced users, or when you deliver the site to a client and don't want him to get annoyed with so much buttons.



The feature I like the most is the HTML editor, it does everything from indenting the code, highlighting and converting deprecated code (like the tag) to actual XHTML 1 code.

Hi, I'm using JCE Editor and also for a client to make it easier and more user friendly to use. However, I found the Editor when used on the front-end was too wide when you've got a right side menu and a left side menu and make it stay in the middle. So eventually after a bit of googling and research I found the fix! It was inside form.php of the main core of Joomla to adjust the width of the editor, publishing and metadata sections, in making it smaller and it is now so much better. I was proud of myself! :-)

I have a list of must install component and JCE is definitely one of them. It is especially helpful for my clients so it's easier for them to update the site for themselves.

I could not do without this extension.

I have been using it for years and never had a problem.

This is one of the few extension that I use in all of my J! sites. Definitely the best editor I've seen so far.

This Should be part of Joomla Core. This editor is THAT much better than the TinyMCE editor Joomla ships with. Because of JCE I hardly never use Media Manager anymore.

JCE has been part of my Joomla toolkit for a few years. The annual subscription is excellent value for money. If your site is about content and you are serious about presenting it accordingly, JCE is a must have.

The component installed fine, but the plugin 1.5.7 had to be installed manually on joomla 1.5.20. Instructions can be found on their website.

After that, everything went fine. A most highly configurable editor. What I liked especially is being able to highly configure the frontend editor to the needs of my client. A must have for Joomla.
