The Digital Asset Inspector™ organizes your media into a detailed report:

• Used — referenced by one or more active Analyzers.
• Unused — no active Analyzer found a reference.
• Trashed — moved to MAT's Trash, with Safe Restore to the original file path.

MAT includes the Joomla Core Content Analyzer, which checks media references in articles, categories, modules, menu items, and other supported core content.

Unlike a simple database-wide filename search, MAT examines the locations where media references are actually stored. Databases often contain old content, logs, and cached information that no longer reflect what's in use.

Finding a filename isn't necessarily the same as finding a current reference to an asset.

MAT's Unused tab helps you focus your attention on files worth reviewing. An Unused result doesn't guarantee a file is safe to delete, so the final decision is always yours.

Trash first. Safe Restore if you change your mind.

Move unwanted assets to MAT's Trash and test your website. If something is needed, Safe Restore returns it to its original path with two clicks. Permanently delete files only when you're confident they're no longer required.

For websites, getting a file back isn't enough. It has to go back where it came from.

Finding is automatic. Removing is your decision. And it's reversible.
