Phoca Download Source connects the established download component Phoca Download with the page builder of YOOtheme Pro. Your documents, files and download categories become a dynamic content source available to every builder element, so download centres, file grids and category overviews are assembled by clicking in the layout instead of writing a template override. New files appear on their own: the layout stays in step with Phoca Download.

Three source types.
A single document for the one highlighted download, such as the current version of a product on the front page. Documents, either picked by hand in a stable order or pulled automatically from categories including sub-categories up to four levels deep. Categories, as tiles with image, description, file count and a link to the category page, with empty ones hidden on request. Sort by title, date, popularity or the Phoca order, and cap the number freely.

Every field a download page needs.
Title, description, properties, changelog, notes and version. The file size is read from the file itself and comes out formatted ("2.4 MB"), so it stays correct after a file is swapped. File type icons for more than 60 types, derived from the extension, as an icon URL or a short label for your own designs. Author, licence, images (a main image plus two extras), external and mirror links, publishing dates, hit counts and tags. Download and detail links go through Phoca Download, so its hit counting, access rules and direct-link settings stay fully in effect.

Custom fields included. Every Joomla field you have defined for Phoca Download documents shows up as a builder field automatically, with no configuration — manufacturer, product line, release level, whatever you use — and can be placed in grids and lists like any other field.

Cleanly integrated.
A modern Joomla 6 plugin (namespaces, dependency injection, event subscribers) with no legacy interfaces and no compatibility plugin. Read-only: it changes neither your downloads nor the component, and can be disabled at any time without data loss. Downloads follow the visibility rules of Phoca Download — access level, publishing window and content language are all respected. Fully bilingual (German and English), including the field names in the builder.
