CookieHint and Consent 3.0 is here – with many new features and a completely redesigned consent management system.

What is new in version 3.0?

The new version enables significantly more precise consent management. Visitors can allow cookies by category or specifically allow or reject individual cookies.

In addition, CookieHint and Consent includes an integrated cookie database, automatically detects previously unknown cookies and supports Google Consent Mode v2.

Custom Design

Various layouts and styles are available for the consent banner. Colors, position, light or dark mode and other display options can be adjusted directly in the backend.

Update from Version 2.x

After updating from version 2.x to 3.x, the previous version initially remains active. You decide when you want to switch to the new granular mode. Existing settings and custom classic templates are preserved.

Was ist neu in Version 3.0?

Die neue Version ermöglicht eine deutlich genauere Einwilligung. Besucher können Cookies nach Kategorien freigeben oder einzelne Cookies gezielt erlauben beziehungsweise ablehnen.

Zusätzlich enthält CookieHint and Consent eine integrierte Cookie-Datenbank, erkennt bislang unbekannte Cookies automatisch und unterstützt den Google Consent Mode v2.

Individuelles Design

Für das Consent-Banner stehen verschiedene Layouts und Styles zur Verfügung. Farben, Position, Hell- oder Dunkelmodus und weitere Darstellungsoptionen können direkt im Backend angepasst werden.

Update von Version 2.x

Nach einem Update von Version 2.x zu 3.x bleibt zunächst die bisherige Version aktiv. Sie entscheiden selbst, wann Sie auf den neuen granularen Modus wechseln möchten. Vorhandene Einstellungen und eigene klassische Templates bleiben erhalten.

ist auf der Webseite und macht, was es machen soll. Ich kann es aktivieren und ablehnen und wieder aktivieren und wieder ablehnen.

habe mich in die Doku auf der Seite eingelesen und es auf meiner Webseite überarbeitet
Documentation
hat ausgereicht, um es zu installieren und meinen Bedürfnissen anzupassen, Sprache und Text wurden individuell angepasst

Functionality
This gives instructions to update Joomla!'s language files to modify the notices.
Ease of use
The minute I activated this plugin, it took down my site. I had to use phpMyAdmin to disable it.
I used this to: I was attempting to satisfy our GDPR and CCPA requirement. The plugin was supposed to manage our cookies preferences publicly.

Die Installation verlief unspektakulär und einfach über den Webkatalog in Joomla.
Alles funktioniert wie gewünscht.
Ease of use
Die wenigen Einstellungen sind nahezu selbsterklärend, den Rest liest man einfach in der guten Dokumentation nach.
Support
Bisher habe ich keinen Support benötigt, da alles aus der Dokumentation hervorgeht.
Documentation
Sehr gut und verständlich geschrieben. Ich konnte anhand der Dokumentation alle für mich relevanten Optionen schnell und einfach einrichten.
I used this to: Ich betreibe eine kommunale Internetseite mit Joomla, bei der ein Redaktionsteam mit unterschiedlichen Berechtigungen Inhalte veröffentlicht.

Functionality
A simple cookie setup was fine. Thoughtful choice of essential settings. I appreciate the cookie banner test link on plugin settings page.
Ease of use
All the options are on the Plugin tab and well-documented. I used my own CSS, in cookiehint-custom css, to style the cookie banner.
Support
Prompt, helpful and friendly answers from Matthias, when I had a question about cookie settings link for visitor.
Documentation
The plugin settings at the website are well-explained -- just hover over the parameter name
I used this to: A website that needed a simple cookie setup, as it had no tracking code but did have YouTube videos. Some of the GDPR plugins are quite complicated, but I think most visitors either want cookies or not, so CookieHint was perfect for me.

Blockt ALLE ausgehenden Anfragen bis man diese zulässt. Verschiedene Templatestile sind auch möglich und leicht anpassbar.

Einfach installieren undPlugin freigeben, Datenschutzlink und Impressumlink rein und fertig!

I used this to: Ich nutze dieses Plugin für alle unsere Joomlaseiten, egal ob Veriosn 3 oder Version 4, ebenso wie für Wordpress. Bei Wordpress sollte das Caching komplett abgestellt werden!

Very nice cookie consent tool with simple and easy settings. I works great with Joomla 4.
Ease of use
Easy to use and clean look. It works like a charm and offers multiple layouts via drop down menu.

La instalación y configuración no requieren de un mayor conocimiento del plugin, incluye las opciones necesarias.

El soporte en línea ha sido suficiente para mis dudas, no he requerido de un soporte con el live chat o correo.
