Fabrik gives you the power to create forms and tables that run inside Joomla! without requiring knowledge of mySQL and PHP. Then feed your data into Google Maps, Charts or an AJAX based calendar.

With Fabrik you can create CCK applications that range in complexity from simple contact forms to complex applications such as a job application site or bug tracking systems.

Functionality
Does everything I could ever want with joomla data base , forms and visualisation
Ease of use
I am very used to Fabrik so it is easy for me, new users will have a learning curve.
Support
Is very good via a Wiki or the forums. Or if you really have some obscure needs there is a paid support
Documentation
It is updated when the team have time,very detailed for J3 and getting much better for J4/5
Value for money
Superb value for money, that's all there is to say but the JED requires more ?
I used this to: I am currently using this to access and display data from a large plant database.

So much more than a form builder!

Functionality
Great forms, fantastic lists and maps...you can do so much with Fabrik. Used it for years. Tried other tools. Keep coming back to it.
Ease of use
A basic form and list is not hard to figure out. But it does require some time to master, and you can always go deeper.
Support
Fabrik has a fantastic help form and the developer is energetically involved.
Documentation
The Fabrik wiki is deep and filled with excellent examples. Today's AI tools have read it all, making it easier than ever.
Value for money
Literally, no other tool has done as much lifting for me at this price.
I used this to: Developing multi-tenant sites for managing boating clubs and marinas.

Functionality
It is unbelievable what you can do with Fabrik, being a RAD (rapid application development) system.
Ease of use
it extremely easy to create a data-driven apps with lists, CRUD (create, read, update, delete) forms, visualizations, usually with no coding
Support
The developers and the cummunity give excellent and fast support.
Documentation
Is still a work in progress, a bit dated here and there but catching up fast.
Value for money
I used this to: Membership administrations including paid subscriptions, databases to track researchers and their projects at universities, online courses includings tests and scores, etc

Nothing is like fabrik!

Functionality
there is no limit to what you can do, if you are a coder you can save a lot of time
Ease of use
not easy, but not impossible, you have to understand the logic and you can do everything
Support
People who can't do business. I would like to contribute with a subscription, but it is impossible!
Documentation
good in the forum but with bad research. University No tutorial, no video
Value for money
I used this to: University software and many other applications for no-profit.
If there were no more dependencies to motools it would be the state of the art

Functionality
Functionally, the tool appears to be good but not true. The explanation for their usage is not at helpful.
Ease of use
Very complicated. Documentation incomplete, Links broken, Absence of comprehensive tutorial. You may be a good programmer but will get lost.
Support
You will have to run their Professional support every step of the way
Documentation
Extensive but very poor. Hanging examples then can get you running in circles
Value for money
I used this to: I try to use it to generate an application but failed. 2 problems and no one could help resolve it.

Functionality
The features that extensions bring are really great, flexible and powerful, meeting complex requirements
Ease of use
Not easy to use, requires a deep understanding of programming, because it is a free extension so support is also very limited.

Value for money
I used this to: Complex projects, requiring flexible customization, meet a number of special requirements in building specialized systems.

Functionality
Very Functional - It will take a while before you get used to it but practice makes perfect for Beginners, Intermediate and Expert.
Ease of use
Takes a while of getting used to, but once you learned the trick it will expand to boundaries never seen before. MVC knowledge is a must.
Support
Support is self help in most cases. but reading the forum is also a must for a user. there is no spoon feeding here in forum. Self help!!!
Documentation
Documentation should be updated by the free loaders like me. The developers works tirelessly to fix and improve the system so a little help?
Value for money
I used this to: Mostly Government oriented system at requires maps. I also use this for Rapid Application Development.

Great for simple stuff, but for anything complex...

Functionality
Fabrik has great functionality - in theory you can do great stuff with it. But for complex needs, hit a bug & you may be stuffed.
Ease of use
Huge no. of options. For simple stuff, then you only need basic knowledge of SQL, PHP and Javascript. Otherwise...
Support
Unless you pay, developer support very variable. Support from other expert users declining because they get no recognition for their efforts
Documentation
Wiki is ok but dated. Training videos are no more. May need to experiment a lot to get things to work.
Value for money
I used this to: No longer using - projects abandoned as developer will not merge fixes or enhancements created by users, and only fix bugs they fancy fixing. Users not paying for support need to rely on community experts, but community experts needs are ignored so their support is declining.

Functionality
Excellent, extends the Joomla environment to create custom interactions with users
Ease of use
Requires good knowledge of database and php get to the most out of it
Support
Terrible. Access to the support forums has been withdrawn for new customers. Website states support is under review (August 2018)
Documentation
Wiki is good, forum looks useful if it was possible to access it
Value for money
I used this to: Building custom forms on a website

A extensão se conecta ao banco de dados e cria tabelas para os formulários com diversos plugins para ações antes e após a submissão do form
Ease of use
Relativamente fácil, possui tutoriais, em inglês no site
Support
O suporte é fechado para apenas quem está cadastrado no forum e o cadastro está fechado, a versão do JED está bugada
Documentation
A documentação pode ser melhorada, colocando em outras línguas, e mais orientações de como é versionado o produto
Value for money
I used this to: Formulários de cadastro de agendamentos e processamentos eventuais para outro produto
