Introduction

Living, Religion

Current version (For Joomla 3.x): 9.2.8. There is a beta 2 version of Proclaim 10 compatible with Joomla 4 & 5. Please visit the Christian Web Ministries site for more information.

Proclaim is from the Christian Web Ministries team. Version 9.2.8 is a bug and security fix. Proclaim! now includes SimpleView - a simplified way to create and display sermons. This powerful and flexible extension to show study notes and multimedia content is better than ever. All views are now responsive and there is a new way to handle uploading and displaying multimedia content. Powerful - flexible - customizable - searchable. Proclaim! works in Joomla 3.x and Joomla 1.5 (6.2.4 - though no longer supported). Unlimited media files, internal video/audio player, ACL throughout (to control viewing and editing privileges).

You can publish your study notes and multimedia files in nearly as many ways as you can imagine. Views include study lists and details, teachers, series, a landing page - plus podcasting and a module for your latest sermons.

Plugins for automated podcasting, backup, and search. Plus a front end entry system. In short, if you have a church and wish to publish your sermons online, this is the product you need.

Proclaim was designed by a pastor with a heart for ministry over the internet and is maintained by a dedicated group of believers.

found this and it was a toss up between this and sermonspeaker. I am happy to have chosen this as it works well, is so configurable, I had very few issues with it and the support is really brilliant. Thanks for a great component!

Great component

This component has streamlined our Sermon interface on our website and has helped immensely in organizing and distributing how we get out God's Word over the web.

Thanks for the wonderful component!
I looked at a couple of extensions before selecting this one. Other extensions were too simple - this has the necessary capabailities to allow more than simple list of messages. You can filter by preacher, year, subject, Bible book etc. and can easily create links to specific series for example. May take a bit of thinking through to get your head around it, but once you invest a little time it really enables you to reap the reward.

The podcast feature is great and it supports various media types. I like the way in which you can combine textual notes with the media of messages if required.

Highly recommended if you want more than just a basic sermons extension.

Great Application!

Every now and then a component comes along that is so well thought out, so well done that you just have to applaud -- and when it is a non-commercial component you just have to shout: THANK YOU!

This application add-on to Joomla is absolutely one of the best I've ever used.

We have gone from offering a straight table-style list of our sermon history that was a bit of a pain to update - especially at series end, TO having sortable, well-presented, easy to use and update, beautiful method of delivering content to our site members and visitors.

And the support? Unparalleled in the open source community. Just the best, most responsive group of folks I have come across!

Can't say enough good about this application.
I'm using this extension in Portuguese to our Brazillian Church (Igreja Batista do Brooklin, São Paulo-SP) it's very usefull, and Tom is very kind in interaction on the doubts.

This is a great tool helping us to make the studies and preaches available to share the gospel with others.

Gob bless you a lot Tom.
I appreciate the work the author has put into this component and will likely use it for my church. It deserves five stars for effort. I dropped down to three stars because of the extensive use of tables. Most Joomla templates are tableless - and for good reason. It's better for SEF, provides more flexibility and makes it easier for the implementer. Also, I would imagine it would be easier the author to code. I would suggest just providing the data elements as a list and the ability to order them using the administration screen. Then provide a style sheet that creates the table view from the list. Users could then easily modify the stylesheet to integrate the component into their site.
Owner's reply: Just an FYI, version 6.1 of Bible Study uses css and richly tagged tables in combination to provide the most flexibility and control over the appearance of the study lists. After much research we decided not to go with a tableless environment as this does not seem to be a best practice.
I am currently switching our church site to Joomla 1.5. The old way I handled our sermon casting wasn't going to work. So I experimented with several options and finally tried Bible Study. The features are amazing. There is a lot to learn only because of the menu parameters contain so many options! This will make our text and audio lessons much more usable by the end user. I couldn't be happier. You need to register to view the forum but Tom seems to be on top of things and they component is regularly updated and improved.

Thank you Tom!

Thank you Tom for your efforts! We pray that GOD continue to bless you!.

I'm using this component and it is very friendly, easy and so on...

Thanks again!
If your church needs a good-looking, flexible way to offer sermon audios and videos, religion lessons and textual studies, Bible Study does it better than any competing Joomla component available today.

Having meticulously explored the features, functionality and support offered by this and similar components, I can say unequivocally that only Bible Study met all my church's needs.

The component's administrative and front-end structure is easily understood, although the documentation could use fleshing out for the more advanced functions such as setting up podcasts or streaming audio and video. Nonetheless, the time required for even novice developers to get good results is not particularly long and the results are very satisfying.

As others have noted, Tom Fuller is quick to respond to support questions through the Bible Study forum, and he is eager to help you succeed in the setup you're looking for.

There were some bugs I encountered, but these had more to do with style than functionality. Tom squashed them promptly.

I wish there were more than one good multimedia sermons-and-studies component for most churches, but I firmly believe only this one will not disappoint you in the end.
I do not know how to say this in a more reserved matter. This is the best component, module that you can get to present Sermons. Here is why.

1. It is Very easy to install.

2. It is Very easy to use

3. It looks very nice

4. It is really very versatile

5. It does not have a lot of overhead. (well written)

6. Tom Fuller treats this like his baby. When it cries he is there. I have NEVER had an issue that TOM was not willing to fix.

Tom Fuller is so dedicated his product and his ministry that he goes far beyond the call of duty

In the christian world of computing there is a great lack in good components out there for churches. I would have to say all that I have tried have had their very unfortunate issues. However the level of depth and professionalism that has went into this component by far outweigh (any) component I have used for sermons or media display and content administration for that matter.

As a man who is working for a church that has great plans to expand rather rapidly new technology and ways to implement it for the user so that is friendly and aesthetic is very key. Longevity is another very important factor. Tom is a great person to work with.

Oregon, Tom Fuller and TEAM --- Great Job and I believe I am not overstating myself in saying you have literally blessed the socks off of every church trying to provide service to their members and the rest of the world. Thank you!
