SiteGround puts a reverse-proxy cache in front of every site it hosts. On Joomla it hardly ever caches anything, because Joomla starts a session for every visitor and marks every page no-cache. SiteGround skips any response that carries a cookie or says not to cache it, and the SiteGround dashboard ends up warning that fewer than 60% of visits are served from cache.

This plugin fixes that:

• On pages anonymous visitors can share, it removes the session cookie and Joomla's no-cache headers, then tells SiteGround the page can be cached. It only does that when no cookie is left on the response.
• Pages with a Joomla form on them (contact forms, login modules, Convert Forms) are detected and left uncached, so the forms keep working.
• Logged-in users get uncached pages unless you choose otherwise.
• Saving, deleting or publishing an article or category purges the affected pages. Saving a template or installing an extension flushes the whole cache.
• A Purge SG Cache button sits in the admin header on every page, with an optional dropdown of your own paths.
• A status panel shows whether the site is on SiteGround and whether the cache can be reached. A built-in log viewer shows why each page was or wasn't cached.

On a production SiteGround site, version 2.2.1 took the ordinary pages from none cached to all of them cached, with the form pages correctly left out.

Requires SiteGround hosting. The plugin talks to SiteGround's caching daemon, which only exists on SiteGround servers. It installs anywhere, but elsewhere it shows a notice and does nothing.
