Use this tool to transfer files or database items between two different Joomla! sites, or duplicate items within your live site. This is a 'mass' copy/paste tool necessary for ALL Joomla! administrators.

In the old Joomla! 1.5 when you wanted to transfer database items to a different Joomla, just an export/import of the required database tables would do the job. With the new Joomla! 1.6, 1.7, 2.5, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x and above, this is no longer possible. This tool is doing just exactly that.

Also suitable for upgrading Joomla! 2.5 to 3.x, or 4.x. or 5.x or 6.x

I chose with hesitation, because it was very cheap. The next value I found, what was very expensive.
Eventually vindicated my decision !!!!!
I used this to: Upgrade joomla site from 2.5 to 3x and migration up to 10000 articles too many categories menu e.t.c.

Functionality
Apart from a few minor changes that needed to be made after the transfer (due to formatting on the source site), it worked like a dream!
Ease of use
Pretty much click and go, if you get the settings right in the first place

When I encountered a problem (of mine), the support was fast and efficient.
Documentation
Clear and precise. Make sure you have all the right info about the source database and FTP and you're good to go.
Value for money
Priceless! Saved me a fortune in hours saved.
I used this to: Transferring a huge amount of Articles and menu items. SP did it all with one click!

It is a simple component, and the documentation is clear.

I used this to: I had a joomla site that had been caught up in a version problem.
This caused an issue with any further updates, as the database record was incorrect -even modification of the database entry had not fixed it. SP Transfer to the rescue. Clean empty install - then transfer the dat

finnaly "tiny" migration 2.5.28 to 3.4.1 did succeed

I used this to: migration 2.5.28 to 3.4.1 out of the joomla box and through upgrade files was a disaster: white screens in front- and backend, lots of errors. Even after disabling all modules and de-install all 3th parties extensions!
But SP Transfer did the job!

Everything that should be transfered, has been transfered fine. Had one problem with strange aliases, but that has been solved immediately.
Ease of use
Just install, enter Database & FTP Information and then select the things you would like to transfer.

Leaves no questions unanswered. The funtionalit is mostly self-explaining.

Yes!
I used this to: After spending a lot of time with several failing upgrades from J2.5 -> J3.4, I've set up a fresh & empty J3.4 and transfered all data from J2.5 to the new version. At least, this was a pretty fast and clean solution.

I upgraded from Joomla 1.7 to Joomla 3.4.1 without any problems.

You should be familiar with the basics of Joomla core and databases since you should know what to transfer, where from, etc.

Great support, answered me in less than 6 hours during the night.
