Reset Hits adds a one-click button to your Joomla backend that sets your hit counters (pageviews) back to zero, without opening phpMyAdmin or running SQL. It is an administrator module that appears on the control panel and can reset the hit counters of Joomla core content as well as many third-party components. Reset Hits is a Joomla module from Joomill, maintained since 2011, with a free version and a PRO version.

Developers and site owners who want a clean start before a site goes live, or who need to clear the inflated view counts that build up during development and testing, without editing the database by hand.

Features

One-click reset — set hit counters back to zero from a button on the administrator control panel.

Filtering options (PRO) — reset only a specific selection, such as a single category, instead of resetting all hits at once.

How it works
Install the module, or use Install from Web and search for "Joomill". It publishes to the administrator control panel automatically.
Open the module on your dashboard.
Choose what to reset (all hits in the free version, or a filtered selection in PRO) and click once.
The counters are set to zero.

Functionality

Works out of the box with nothing needed other than enabling the module in the admin area. It worked like a charm on the control panel page

Functionality

Excellent. Only thing I'd add is an Are you sure alert, given that it's deleting data and is non-reverseable. But for one-off use, it's fine

Ease of use

Simplicity itself. (again, maybe even *too* easy to use! Make sure to uninstall it after use if you don't want end users having accidents).

Haven't needed any, but it looks well supported, so top marks.

I used this to: I use this for my website which I've recently taken live, and this extension was useful and just what I needed to clear the hits off of my articles which were mainly from me during days of development. I installed this extension, published it, and it worked!

Just what I was looking for, I develop my sites on my home pc and when they go live I need to reset article hits, banner impressions etc so that I can get accurate stats about how the site is being used.

The setup is very easy to to publish, any problems just open the module and the instructions are there. I would be happy to recommend this extension to everybody.
