Gantry 5 Framework

Gantry 5 is packed full of features created to empower the development of designs into fully functional layouts with the absolute minimum effort and fuss.

Responsive Layout System

Gantry 5 uses the Nucleus grid system, built from scratch using Flexbox and tied in to the Layout Manager to generate classes.

Cross-platform Support

The new responsive Gantry 5 framework is available for WordPress 4.2+, Joomla 3.4+ and Grav 1.0+.

Intuitive YAML-driven Configuration

YAML is a human-readable data serialization, making it easy to create and configure blueprints for back-end configuration options.

Twig Templating

Gantry 5 utilizes Twig to make creating powerful, dynamic themes quick and easy.

Functionality
This component had great functionality 10 years ago when it was first released, but these days it looks outdated.
No dark theme switching.
Ease of use
It's fairly easy to use, but sometimes there are difficulties with template styles, font colors.
Support
Support actually doesn't exist anymore.
A few posts on the official forum over the last couple of years from the development team.
Documentation
Fairly good documentation, but missing some issues that are important for modern templates.
I used this to: a template on my website to customize the display of my website.

Functionality
After all these years, it remains a high quality template framework.
Ease of use
Quite easy. At least much simpler than the other frameworks I have tried.
Support
I have used the support via chat sometimes. They do their best to give answers.
Documentation
The documentation is very good for the basic/first steps. I only needed to read it the first couple times. Then it was easy for the basics.
I used this to: I have built many very good websites using Gantry. After so many updates over the years, it has the least possible bug issues.

Functionality
Of the best frameworks around. Utilises several ways (twig, scss...) for templating. Graphic interface saves time and gets most things done.
Ease of use
Easy, but not for novices. The more you learn the easier it is to configure it, and get lots of things done through its graphic interface.
Documentation
Covers the basics, and is a must-read. Could have been more explanatory on various options in configuration.
I used this to: Building custom templates (there is Hydrogen and Helium provided for free with Gantry 5, to start). It is helpful with achieving great styling and looks, while it gives good management of several aspets of templating, and makes templating very time-efficient.

Missing basic feature like customize sub-menus colors, so "No experience required" and "Configure anything and everything" is not real.
Ease of use
not so easy.

Cant find any If you need real support you must pay for it. sign in.

Functionality
You can do almost anything with it. From layoiut and menu management, to js and css scripts, it gives everything you could ask for.
Ease of use
Easy to install, easy to update, easy to maintain, easy to use. Most of its functionallity is drag and drop. Couldn't be easier.
Documentation
Great documentation, which contains almost everything. Comprehensive, with simple imstructions and videos.
I used this to: Every Joomla! project I create. My only choice!

Functionality
Cumbersome in every aspect. Documentation is extremely poor. They never explain in depth how it works.
Ease of use
Full of bugs, took me and my collegue two weeks to make a website that we could build in just a few hours. Mobile menu is completely nuts...
Documentation
Very poor. They don't go in detail. They just mention self-explanatory things, their documentation is obsolete in many cases.
I used this to: I used it to create a very very simple website. Whatever i do the website looks like a crap, full of bugs, the menu is the worst of all. When menu items expand, they go bellow cover image, mobile menu either wont display or it will display in the wrong place. And so many more.
