Admin Checklist puts a to-do list inside your Joomla backend. It is a component for managing the tasks that keep a site healthy: the steps you run before a site goes live, the monthly maintenance you do not want to forget, or the hand-over list a client works through. Each task has a title and a description, and the description can hold direct links to the exact page in Joomla where the work gets done. Tick a task off when it is finished. Admin Checklist is a Joomla extension from Joomill, with a free version and an optional PRO version.
Who it is for
Joomla site builders, agencies and site owners who run the same tasks over and over and want them written down in one place. It fits pre-launch checklists, recurring maintenance, and shared task lists for teams that manage a site together.
Features
- Task management component — create unlimited tasks, each with a title and a description.
- Direct links inside a task — add a link in a task description that jumps straight to the right page in the Joomla backend, so the next step is one click away.
- Check tasks off — mark a task as done when it is finished and keep a clear view of what is left.
- Unlimited categories — group tasks into categories for a tidy overview.
- Dashboard module — a module on the administrator dashboard shows your categories with a count of checked and unchecked tasks, plus direct links into the filtered checklist. It is part of the package and is activated automatically.
- Action Log plugin — see which user checked or unchecked a task, and when. It is part of the package and is activated automatically.
- Import and export — export a checklist and import it into another site, so you never rebuild the same list twice. Example starter checklists are included.
- Display options for checked items — show completed tasks as line-through, muted, or hidden.
PRO features
- Recurring Tasks (PRO) — a plugin that automatically recreates tasks on a schedule using Joomla's scheduled tasks. Routine maintenance and reminders come back onto the list on their own, with no manual copying.
- Assign to User (PRO) — a plugin that filters checklist items by the assigned user, so every team member sees exactly the tasks that are theirs.
How it works
Install the package. The component, the dashboard module and the Action Log plugin install together. Or use Install from Web and search for "Joomill".
Everything publishes and activates automatically.
Create categories and tasks, drop the relevant Joomla links into the task descriptions, and start ticking items off.
Follow progress from the dashboard module the next time you log in.
